High School Opens Shooting Range
It’s for the use of the ROTC
students and the rifle team, and is strictly controlled. There won’t
be students walking around the school carrying a “locked and
loaded” long gun. They will all be locked up when not in use and
will not be allowed outside the range. Students who use the range
will be supervised by an instructor certified by both the Army Cadet
Command, ad the Georgia High School Athletic Association. This action
is a complete departure from what schools normally do concerning
guns. Most get all upset if a student points his finger like a gun
and suspend him for life while trying to get criminal charges against
him. It is a move in the right direction by some rare “enlightened”
school authorities. (Daily Caller)
