Bankruptcy Part of the Game

Part of my ritual every morning is to read the funnies on the Internet, since I quit buying newspapers long ago when the Denver Post ran the Rocky Mountain News out of business, took over most of their properties, then immediately reduced their page size AND number of pages while raising their prices. I only knew about their per paper charge, since I’m not an advertiser. But it was so naked a “takeover” of a newspaper that was older than this state, I could not ignore it. But one of the comments to an editorial cartoon noted Trump’s few bankruptcies, and said “maybe we should rely on someone who is not a failure to be the president. Like most anti-Trumpers, he only noticed the bankruptcies, and not the many successes Trump has realized on the way to becoming one of th richest men in the nation. What he doesn’t realize is that bankruptcy is “part of the game.” When unexpected reverses happen, that’s how you get out of that particular project with a “whole skin” while making your money elsewhere. If there were only a few bankruptcies over the years, that’s a GOOD thing. It’s fair to note that, while he had a few bankruptcies, his other projects were still making him a lot of money. He wasn’t “broke,” as this fool said. Bankruptcy is “just a tool” you use when things on a certain project go bad. This is how the “anti-Trumpers” work. Seize upon the few reverses while ignoring the many successes. (Just common sense)
