No Hate Speech Laws!

I never thought America would ever even consider making laws against freedom of speech. But now the liberals (Dumocrats) are trying to get laws made against something called “hate speech” so they could punish people for voicing differing opinions. The bad thing about that is that, “hate speech” can be DEFINED by anybody. Dumocrats could declare ANY criticism of their insane ideas as “hate speech.” Muslim extremists have already established any criticism of their killing people all over the world for not believing in their “religion” as “Islamophobia,” which is “hate speech,” according to them. That’s their way of blunting ANY criticism of he actions of Muslim extremists. When a law is made so loosely that anybody can DEFINE it as being such, nobody is safe from being accused (and sometimes convicted in phony courtrooms) of hate speech for DISAGREEING with someone. Liberals already are practicing a form of that, with their “racism” accusations of ANYBODY who disagrees with their positions. A law against hate speech would strengthen their position so they would never have to come up with a logical answer when people question their foolishness. Never mind that freedom of speech means someone can disagree with you, or the government, with impunity, even if you don’t like what they’re saying. That’s what the FIRST Amendment is all about. And that’s why it IS the FIRST Amendment. ANY law against hate speech is unconstitutional on its face because it pretends to punish people for their opinions. (Cato Institute)
