No Freedom of Speech

According to this article, a study conducted by the Foundation for Individual rights in Education found that 50% of the students wish to be able to restrict “intolerant opinions,” while at the same time saying “free speech” is the most important civil liberty. It’s obvious that they just don’t have any idea what “free speech” really is. And what will be “intolerant opinions?” Any opinion that doesn’t agree with theirs. And who decides what constitutes “intolerant opinions?” They do, of course. This is NOT “freedom of speech,” but they don’t know it. They think freedom of speech is letting THEM speak their mind, but not allowing people who disagree with them, in any way, to do so. They think this way because that’s what their liberal professors have taught them in their many years of indoctrination. That this indoctrination has “taken well” is illustrated by these opinions. I believe they’re wrong. Anybody should be allowed to speak, even if they don’t agree with them. So my opinion must be an “intolerant opinion” and I should not be allowed to speak my mind. To them, that’s “freedom of speech.” The liberals are winning, folks! (Legal Insurrection)
