Trump Was Wrong

I’m an unabashed Trump supporter. Almost everything he does further convinces me that he is the man to actually “drain the swamp,” as he has promised. But closing down the American economy in the face of the Coronavirus it the exact wrong move and should be reversed, as soon as possible, with the proper safeguards being put in place to avoid as many deaths as possible. You don’t have to “shut your doors” to avoid getting the virus, you just have to be careful, wash your hands regularly, and use a lot of disinfectant—while staying away from people you don’t know, especially those not wearing masks. Shutting us down is wrong because that will ruin us quicker than the virus will. We must have commerce to survive in this world. It’s like hiding from s mass shooter, hoping he won’t see you while not taking the gun your hand to end his reign of terror. It’s a matter of the cure being worse than the illness. Trump is on top of most things, but in this case he acted in panic, and I think he has realized it—which is why he’s talking so much about “opening America back up.”Trump is “smarter than the average bear” and when he’s wrong, he “fesses up” and puts things right, which I think he’s trying to do right now. (Just common sense)
