"Shirking Their Responsibility?"
Democrats, who are frustrated in their efforts to “pack” the
Supreme court, are whining that Congress is “shirking their
responsibility” by not holding a vote on replacing the now deceased
Justice, on THEIR schedule, not that of the Republicans. But the
Constitution does not specify a time limit on holding a vote. They
are NOT “shirking their duty” by refusing to hold the vote as
long as that fool, Obama, is in the White House. They are DOING THEIR
JOB by preventing Obama from “packing the Court” with liberals.
Democrats have a very different idea of what represents “doing
their job” than we do. Democrats successfully blocked the
appointment of new Justices in the past, when they were in the
majority, and said it was right for them to do so. What's different
here? The Congress is mostly REPUBLICAN now, that's what! (Just
common sense)
