No updates yesterday because my computer is acting up. I was not able to get it to do anything on the Internet. It's just barely working tonight. I'll have to take it to my computer guy. So don't be surprised if I miss some more days soon. I don't think the problem is with my computer, since the word processing works normally. If a new computer is required, I'll get one.

It's A Con Job!

It always has been. Whenever a Republican comes out with a plan to reduce taxes for EVERYBODY, Dumocrats scream, "It's a tax break for the rich!" They say that before they even know what's IN the plan because they know they can fool the voters by emphasizing the total dollars, rather than the percentages. The rich are ENTITLED to get more DOLLARS than middle class people, because the rich put more dollars INTO the economy. Even if they pay a higher tax RATE, they're still going to get more DOLLARS. It is the INVESTMENTS of the rich that create the JOBS that benefit all of us. If you take more of their money away, they can't INVEST in projects that not only create JOBS, but also create COMMERCE. Then the economy (and employment) suffers. Let them keep more of their money and they INVEST in projects that benefit ALL of us. Not in tax money, but in REAL money we get to spend. The rich are the people who make the economy WORK by their investments, and to take more of that investment money away from them REDUCES the economy and ADDS to unemployment. So they're ENTITLED. "It Isn't Illegal!"

The Dumocrats insist that "opposition research" is NOT illegal to defend themselves from the phony "Trump Dossier" about prostitutes urinating on the bed Obama once slept in, supposedly at Trump's request. They're right. Opposition research is NOT illegal--UNLESS they pay a FOREIGN SOURCE for it, which they demonstrably did. There is EVIDENCE they did, which is a little different from the "Russian collusion" connection they accuse Trump of doing. In that case, there is NO EVIDENCE to be found, after more than six months of diligent searching. Of course, they're still spending millions of tax dollars in their futile search, hoping, against hope that they can find something, ANYTHING to use against Trump, hopefully so they can impeach him. I say it's a "futile search" because there ISN'T any such evidence, and they hope, by repeating the "charge" over and over, they can make the voters believe it. (Conservative Tribune)

British Anti-Gun Stupidity

They continue to field UNARMED cops, in spite of the fact that Islamic terrorists are “running wild” in their country, killing and maiming their citizens. What's going to happen when an UNARMED cop comes upon an ARMED terrorist? Just what DID happen recently, where some unarmed British cops came upon some ARMED terrorists and had to run. In Borough Market, they came upon some men indiscriminately stabbing people, and they turned and RAN. What the hell GOOD are unarmed cops? And these bad guys didn't even have guns! Like the unarmed cops in France, who were seen cowering behind their cars while terrorists killed people within their sight, unarmed cops are USELESS in the face of ARMED criminals and terrorists. Some of their cops actually REFUSE to carry guns! Frankly, any cop who will not carry a gun isn't FIT to be a cop. (Daily Caller)

Informant Gag Order

The question is simple: why the hell did Obama's DOJ apply a "gag order" to an informant who had significant information on a government "investigation?" Was the information he had something that would implicate Obama and/or Hillary Clinton in a crime? Was is a cover-up? It's very suspicious, and, unless Clinton or Obama forces KILL this informant, we'll find out soon--unless somebody is able to hide what he tells Congress. The Clintons have a reputation for having people who are due to testify about them get killed under very suspicious circumstances, with the locals covering it up like a cat in a litter box. I wouldn't want to be this informant in the next few days before he or she is scheduled to testify. Back watching is in order. The Clintons don't play nice. It's really too bad such an investigation is dependent on such people, with all the other evidence they have uncovered, but which has not been released, or acted upon because they're dealing with Dumocrats. Using The Left's Jargon

One thing that ticks off the left more than anything else is when we use their own jargon to pillory them. That's why it's such a good thing to say, "If a good guy with a gun saves only one life." That's one of their favorite excuses for passing all those USELESS anti-gun laws that save not a SINGLE life. They love to say that whenever they get a fool law passed and people complain. The problem is, none of their laws ever save one life. They only put controls on people, and what they can do. Today, you can hardly fart without having some kind of a "permit," authorized by some silly law, made to "save one life," and which does not. We need to use their own jargon more often to put the quietus ro their scams and schemes. If you examine what they say, AND what they do, you'll notice that nothing they say or do makes any sense. Ban Rental Trucks!

Islamic terrorists use them to kill people! They're just too easy for the average person OR a terrorist to get! Their other important uses are unimportant, compared with their ability to kill people if misused. This is the same argument used by the anti-gun fools in their constant efforts to violate the Second Amendment of the Constitution, and is just as stupid. You don't stop people who want to do others ill by banning the items they use to accomplish it. If you could, you would have to ban many things we use, every day, for constructive purposes, such as knives, cars, trucks, pressure cookers, and many other things that CAN be used to hurt people. That would be as STUPID as it is to ban GUNS because they CAN kill people. There are some people who NEED to be killed, and cops kill them, every day. Usually while they are trying to kill the cops with their ILLEGAL guns. (Just common sense)

The Clinton Bribery Mechanism

The Clintons have lifted political bribery to a fine art, using "speaking fees" and "foundation donations." Both Bill and HIllary make short, often incomprehensible "speeches" before organizations they are, or hope to be in the future, in charge of regulating, at fees reaching half a million dollars for a short speech. No speech is worth that. Often they "donate" their speech fees to the Clinton Foundation, which they control, absolutely, and which does little charity work. Other times people who wish to curry favor with one or the other simply "donate" millions of dollars to their foundation, which they spend freely. For instance: most of their airline fares not paid directly by foreign governments or private businesses they regulate are paid by their foundation. That frees up a lot of money for them to spend on other things. Since there are no laws against politicians getting fees for making speeches, they can claim that's what they are. But such exorbitant "speech fees" are obviously bribes, as are "donations" of millions of dollars from people who want to curry favor with them are just as obviously bribes. It's how they became multi millionaires after leaving the White House broke, according to them. (Just common sense)

The "Crummy Underbelly"

We've heard, for years, about the "casting couch" in Hollywood, but it has been presented as an anomaly and not a real problem. Turns out it is not only true, but it IS a major problem that has affected many young, impressionable women who found that there was no way they could "make it" in Hollywood unless they "screwed the boss." There was nowhere they could go where the boss didn't demand they sleep with him before he would do anything to help them in their quest for stardom. It was NOT an "anomaly," it was ROUTINE. And the Playboy Mansion was one of the worst cesspools of unwanted sex in Hollywood, with many actors and other Hollywood denizens participating. The Harvey Weinstein thing exposed it for what it was, and "lifted the lid" on the box of depravity. There are few women (and even men) not affected by it, and that includes some of the best known names. The Dumocrats pushed the idea that only conservative figures engaged in such practices, but the Weinstein thing revealed the fact that it was far worse on the left. Weinstein "contributed" (bribed) millions of dollars to "leftward" leaning politicians. (The Richest)

Disarming Yourself

It's not self defense to disarm yourself. It's stupidity. You cannot defend yourself against all the millions of ILLEGAL guns out there in the hands of criminals and other malcontents. The anti-gun fools are just LAZY to target GUNS, instead of the activity that ENGENDERS shootings. Gang members, for instance, are usually too young to be able to buy a gun legally, yet they have them, illegally, and they use them on one another AND innocent people, either on purpose, or by accident. My thesis is PROVEN in Chicago, where they have some of the tightest gun laws in the land, coupled with the highest gun deaths in the land, proving that gun laws NEVER work, and to continue passing them shows complete IGNORANCE on the part of the lawmakers. Anti-gun fools really think that the avenue to self defense is to take away guns from law-abiding people, leaving them to be "sitting ducks" for those who don't obey their laws. It's the same kind of thinking that led to "disarmament treaties" that rogue countries willingly signed, then violated, while knowing America will abide by them and thus weaken itself. The same thing is true of the individual, who makes himself DEFENSELESS by disarming himself, letting the lawbreakers have "free rein" to victimize him. (Just common sense)

Something's Missing

In all the news about the deaths of four soldiers in NIger, victims of the Boco Haram attackers. They talk about the action; why it took so long for air cover to arrive, and how the attackers had more firepower than the American troops. But there has been a glaring fact missing: what happened to the attackers after they managed to kill four of our troops? Did we go in and "clean them out?" Or did we just "get out of there?" Under Obama that would be a serious omission. Under Trump, I wonder. Did he order more troops to go in and clean out those thugs? Probably, and I hope we will be hearing about it, shortly. Another question needs to be answered: why the hell did we send that patrol out so lightly armed? How did a bunch of rag-tag thugs manage to outgun an American military outfit? Were the officers in charge of that operation Obama leftovers? Were they still operating under Obama's silly rules of engagement? Meanwhile, Dumocrats are arguing over an "edited" version of what Trump told a "Gold Star Wife," and his tone of voice when he did it. Something that is really unimportant compared to the questions above. (Just common sense)

Much Ado Over Nothing

With all the IMPORTANT things happening in the world, such as the yammering of a crazy man who is running N. Korea, a nuclear-armed nation, and the depredations of Islamic terrorists world wide, as well as other important things, the news media is harping on a congresswoman's MISREPRESENTATION of President Trump's words in a condolence call that she should not have been in a position to hear, period. It smacks of a "setup," DESIGNED to allow her to make Trump look like an insensitive fool by "editing" his words to leave out the words that make them proper. That congresswoman (Frederica Wilson D-FL) is a known Trump hater whose words should never be taken at face value, because she lies. How this clown got elected in the first place is a mystery to me. I knew she was a fool the first time I saw her, and so should the electorate in Florida. Her affectation of that sequined cowboy hat in a non-cowboy state should tell all what she is. (Fox News)

Many Mass Shootings

Why have there been so many mass shootings in recent years? I'm 80 and I don't remember many before Columbine. Maybe that's because the liberal media covered them up. But today's politicians will never find out the reason so long as they simply blame the guns. I have heard often that it is the "easy availability of guns" that is at fault. That is the lazy way to look at it. Guns are NOT that "easily available" if you have a criminal history. And those who do not have a criminal history should NOT be denied the constitutional right to own and use a gun for self defense. But as long as they simply blame the gun, they're looking in the wrong direction and they will never find the answers they seek.

It is simple IGNORANCE on their part, and I hate it that such people find their way into important, lawmaking positions so often. So that, instead of looking for the REAL reasons, they waste their time making USELESS laws that do NOTHING to "stem gun violence." I think it is a combination of liberals (Dumocrats) making VICTIMS out of so many people, hoping to thereby create votes for themselves, and the feelings of hopeless thus engendered, that CREATE malcontents who think they have a GRUDGE against "society," It is those malcontents that are at fault, not guns. That has been proven by the mass killings recently where there were no guns even involved. Where they used knives, swords, cars and trucks, and even pressure cookers to kill people. We need to find some politicians or bureaucrats who are not IGNORANT, who will look in the right direction, instead of taking the easy road and concentrating on guns. (Just common sense)

Mueller Is A Plant

When they appointed Robert Mueller special counsel to "investigate" the "Russian connection," they were sending the fox into the hen house to "investigate" missing chickens. Robert Mueller was the FBI Director during the time Obama and Hillary, and several others sold 20% or our uranium to Russia with little fanfare. I say little fanfare because the liberal media, who were also complicit, refused to cover it. The first thing he did was appoint 16 Obama/Clinton partisans to his staff. People who are unalterably Trump haters who are on a "witch hunt" to find out ANYTHING they can use against Trump. After six or more months of "investigating," they have found NOTHING. so now they're going far afield, searching back TEN YEARS into Trump's activities. Mueller's very appointment as special counsel is ILLEGAL. The law clearly requires there be a CRIME to be investigated in order for a special counsel to be appointed. There is NO CRIME, here. There are no financial limits on Mueller, and no time limit. He can cause his "investigation" to go on for as many years as he wishes, and spend as much of our tax money as he wishes. So all his "Trump haters" now have as much money as they'll ever need to use in undermining him. He can turn it into a lifetime job if he so wishes. He was appointed to "get trump" any way he could. If he can't FIND proof of a "Russian Connection," he'll MANUFACTURE some That's what he was sent there to do by the liberal heirarchy. (Just common sense)

"Most Destructive Presidency Ever!"

Board Chairman of Breitbart News, and former White House chief Strategist Steve Bannon criticized George Bush's remarks about Trump, and said Bush's presidency was the most destructive presidency in history. Which completely ignores the SUBVERSIVE presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. Obama did so much to injure the United States during his presidency that it will take years to repair the damage, if, in fact, it is possible to do so. Obama committed many acts of terrorism as president, and should be brought up on charges for those acts. But will he? Not likely. The "fix is in," and Dumocrats aren't usually called to account for their crimes. Hillary committed many crimes in her spotted career in government (hopefully over), and she even had the FBI Director lying for her in Congress. Will he be punished? Not likely, for the same reason. The Magic Solution

Fox's Tucker Carlson asked a simple question of one of the foolish people demanding we "do something" to end mass murder. The question is, "What CAN we do to stop mass murders from taking place?" Many people make such demands, but they never come up with a "magic solution" to the problem, because there ISN'T one. There is not a single anti-gun law either in existence, or yet to be made, that will do ANYTHING to stop crazies from getting a gun, either legally or illegally, and then shooting into a crowd of people. Or take a knife and stab everybody they can reach. Or take a vehicle and run over as many as they can. It's obvious to those of us who still retain the power to THINK, that limiting the purchase of guns is NOT the answer. Disarming yourself is NOT the way to self defense! Why We Like Trump

I did not write this, but it sure sums up A LOT: This was posted on Facebook by Jim Lane. It is published here by permission. I have edited it only for spelling, punctuation, and syntax, but not for wording or meaning.

Millions of Trump supporters feel this way about Donald J. Trump....."We don't care if the guy swears... or how many times he's been married...or who he voted for, or what his income tax return shows. We want the problems fixed. Yes he's an egomaniac, but we don't care. We know he's not a racist, or bad to women, or all the other things the liberal media is trying to label him with. We know he's raised a good family, and that says a lot about him. The country is a mess because politicians suck, the Republican Party is two faced and gutless. Illegals are everywhere and Muslims are openly trying to hurt this country and make the civilized world adjust to them. We want it all fixed!

We don't care that Trump is crude, we don't care that he has changed positions, we don't care that he fights with Megan Kelly, Rosie O'Donnell, and so many of the elected establishment. We don't care that Rubio, Cruz, Ryan, the Bushes, and so many other top old and new Republicans refuse to endorse him for their own selfish reasons, and we know what they are. We don't care that he doesn't know the name of some Muslim terrorists, and we don't care that he tried some businesses that didn't work out. This country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us, and we are being invaded by illegals. We are becoming a nation of victims, where every Tom, Ricardo and Hasid is a special group with special rights to a point where we don't even recognize the country we were born and raised in, AND WE JUST WANT IT FIXED!

Trump is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want. We're sick of politicians, sick of the Democratic and Republican Party. We're angry about the Iran deal, the budget, treatment of Israel, military weakness, lobbyists, special interests, overpaid politicians with their self serving bills and back room deals, trade deals, loss of jobs, manipulated economic numbers, businesses fleeing, and even the phony pay for play Clinton Foundation. Americans are no longer going to be fooled, and the movement is out to change the direction we're taking.

Trump may not be a saint, but he doesn't have lobbyist money holding him, he doesn't have political correctness restraining him, and all you know is that he has been very successful, a good negotiator, he has built a lot of things. He's flexible, and he's also not a politician. And he says he'll fix it. We believe him because he is too much of an egotist to be proven wrong or looked at and called a liar. Public service has become elected greed. This may be our only chance to have a non-politician, despite his flaws, try and correct the mess, at least for 4 years. We must take the shot, because the consequences of putting Hillary Clinton in office are frightening. There is a tidal wave happening, and its going to overcome much of what's happened to this country. You may re-post this if you wish.

Supporting Infanticide

People accused returning Viet Nam vets of being "baby killers," and now THEY are the baby killers. For real. MILLIONS of babies have been MURDERED, in the womb, and sometimes out of it, for the CONVENIENCE of the parents, who just don't want to take responsibility for the raising of the result of their unprotected sex. They can't be bothered with using protection, so they just murder the result. I never thought an entire political party (Dumocrats) would SUPPORT the murder of defenseless babies. But that's what we have today, and I'm sick of their stupid excuses for supporting it. They CLAIM abortion is "a woman's right to choose what happens to her own body." Which is FALSE. If it were, prostitution would be legal, which it isn't. What it is, is claiming the right to KILL their child because they can't be bothered to raise it. Any politician who supports abortion should be removed from office, sooner, rather than later, by whatever means necessary, because they're stupid. And those who perform abortions should be imprisoned, maybe even executed for murder. (Just common sense)

That Didn't Take Long

The anti-gun fools waited not any time at all before using the Las Vegas killings to push gun control, even though ANY effort to "abridge" our gun rights is unconstitutional. Even though the killer obeyed every one of their silly laws and was APPROVED, because he had NO criminal background. Not a single one of their anti-gun laws would have stopped this guy from creating the biggest mass shooting in the history of America, so far. Hillary got right on Twitter even before all the dead bodies were removed to advance the phony narrative about silencers, based on her abysmal IGNORANCE about them. The hotel from which the gunshots came WAS a "no-gun zone," yet he still managed to bring 18 "long guns" into his room to use in killing these people. They have to KNOW that none of their silly laws work, but they insist on keeping passing them, thus disarming the law-abiding people and making them "easy targets." (Fox News)

It's All About Control

The anti-gun fools tell us their activities to violate the Second Amendment of the Constitution is to "keep guns out of the hands of the evil doers." They are NOT. They have to know, if they have ANY intelligence at all--and I don't think they are all stupid, That none of their "common sense gun laws" do ANYTHING to "keep guns out of the hands of evil doers." But they DO keep them out of the hands of honest, law-abiding citizens, making them into "easy targets." Their laws DEPEND on LAWBREAKERS to obey them. what makes them think somebody who breaks laws for a living will suddenly, magically, OBEY their laws, is beyond my comprehension. It's all about CONTROL of your actions and your right to make your own decisions. Every law liberals MAKE is designed to do that. To take away your right to make your own decisions, and give that right to THEM. (Just common sense)

Hillary Is Clueless!

Within MINUTES of the begging of the Las Vegas massacre, even while authorities were still removing bodies, she had the temerity to advance the current narrative about "silencers," saying, in her IGNORANCE, that if the shooter had just had a silencer, many more would have died because they couldn't hear the shots. What an absolute IMBECILE this woman is! First of all, you can't put a suppressor on such a gun. It would melt the barrel. Second, a "silencer" is NOT "silent." It's as loud as a jackhammer, which is not "silent." It just is not quite AS loud as a gunshot. And what kind of law would have stopped this massacre? I don't think she has a clue. Every time she opens her pie hole, stupid comes out. If she had won the election and become president, it would not take her long to destroy this country as a free country, with her stupidity. What's the Answer?

Something "clicked over" on the day of the Columbine killings and mass shootings increased measurably since. Islamic terrorism is partly to blame, but not all the mass shooters in America have been Islamic terrorists. I don't really know what started it, and what has caused it to increase so much except for the "victimization" Dumocrats push to get votes. Due to disagreement in reporting agencies on the definition of mass shootings, they list 270 mass shootings in America, just in 2017. But the problem there is, due to the definition used, many simple crime shootings have been conflated with the real mass shootings to get this number. The answer is NOT more gun laws. the ones now in effect have done absolutely NOTHING to prevent mass shootings. The killer in Las Vegas, for instance, bought all his guns legally because he had NO criminal history.

Many other shooters did likewise, for the same reason. Those who could not get them legally either bought them ILLEGALLY from another criminal in a back alley somewhere, or just STOLE them (the Aurora theater killings). In any case, you can't just BAN GUNS in America because the Constitution forbids it. And you can't just change the Constitution ro eliminate the Second Amendment. You would never get 2/3 of the states to ratify it, even if you could get it through Congress. Even if you could, that would still not do it because of the thriving black market in guns in this country, and others. And potential mass shooters are not concerned with piddling anti-gun laws because they plan a crime much worse than that--many of them don't even worry about any laws giving them longer prison sentences for using a gun in a crime where they have them, and they mostly don't even enforce them.

They use them as "bargaining chips" to get convictions in other crimes. And still potential mass shooters will not care about how many laws they violate in getting their guns since they plan to kill a bunch or people, and maybe even expect to die themselves as a result. In most mass shootings, allowing more law-abiding people to be armed in self defense would do--but not always. In Las Vegas, the shooter was 32 stories up and mostly inaccessible. When the cops finally broke into his room, he had killed himself. Potental mass shooters usually give off SOME signs as they prepare for their crime. (The shooter at Ft. Hood, for instance, did so many ways, but was ignored). If we are alert for these signs, maybe we can prevent some of the shootings. But not all, because some give no signs, at all. The first sign is when he begins killing people.

We need to stop "targeting the guns" and start looking for ways to spot potential mass shooters BEFORE he carries out his evil plan--IF that's even possible. It'll need much more of "police state" than we now have to do that. The only thing I can think of that will be even partially successful is more law-abiding peole legally carrying their own guns so they can (in most cases) shoot the shooter before he can kill as many people as he wishes. But the anti-gun fools will not hear of that. They think (wrongly) that law-abiding people being armed in self defense is a "bad thing, That they will "go crazy" if they have a gun in their pocket and shoot each other over trifles. Some illegal gun owners do that, but they are of a different mindset, being criminals. (ABC 15 Arizona)

Another Clinton Murder

There's a suspicious number of deaths connected with attempts to call a Clinton to account for their crimes. That's with both Bill and Hillary. Some of the ones attached to Bill are so absurd they're impossible. Like one that was labeled a suicide with TWO bullets in his head. How does one shoot himself TWICE in the head? The latest is the death of a journalist responsible for the exposure of million dollar bribes to the Clinton Foundation. Of course, it is possible that her death was a result of an investigation of a local Maltese politician, but the juxtaposition of deaths like this to a connection with the Clintons is very suspicious. There are just too many, and too well timed, many coming just BEFORE someone was to testify about a Clinton crime. I guess the Clinton family is like the Mafia. If you are going to testify against the "Clinton Crime Family," you may be killed, just in time to stop it. (DC Clothesline)

Does Your Fork Make You Fat?

Rush Limbaugh asked an important question today, on his program: "Does your fork make you fat?" Does your pencil or pen write nasty things, all by itself? No. Neither does your gun shoot somebody without your finger pulling the trigger, But you can't convince the anti-gun fools of that. They think a gun can magically jump up off the table and shoot somebody, all by itself. They also think the way to self defense is to DISARM yourself, and that they can magically eliminate all guns from existence, just by making a few laws. It is this kind of ignorance that makes "easy targets" out of law-abiding people. How such people gain positions of authority where they can impose their ignorance and stupidity on the rest of is is a mystery to me. But they do, in more numbers than I can count. Even so, they are in the MINORITY, a VOCAL majority. They worm their way into positions of authority and are way more "effective" than their numbers should allow, because of their big mouths, coupled with lack of intelligence. (Just common sense)

Totally Stupid Thinking

Shannon Watts, kingpin of "MOMS Against Guns" (or something like that) thinks background checks could have stopped the Las Vegas shooting. But what if the shooter has not committed a crime before? Other anti-gun fools say "gun-free zones" could stop it. the Mandalay Bay Hotel WAS a "gun-free zone." So how did that affect this killing spree? Word is the shooter had numerous guns in his room at that hotel. How did he get them into his room at a hotel that was a "gun-free zone?" The same applies to all the silly laws about "safe storage." Somebody bent on a mass killing spree isn't interested in "safe storage" of his guns, and couldn't care less about these piddling little laws. He's scheming to commit a crime much worse than violating a piddling little law that says he has to store his guns a certain way. This guy had no record, so he bought all his guns legally. Laws did NOTHING to stop him from his deadly purpose, and neither did a background check, which he passed with flying colors. It's STUPID to think otherwise, but the anti-gun fools do. The Real Russian Conspiracy

While Congress wastes millions "investigating" whether or not the Russians colluded with the Trump campaign to get him elected, they're ignoring completely the REAL "Russian connection" to the American government. The sale, by Hillary Clinton (as Sec. of State) of American uranium to Russia in return for a million dollar "contribution" to the Clinton Foundation (approved by Obama). It's all going on, "behind the scenes," because the liberal media will not cover it. Unfortunately, for them, they can't stop the less than liberal media from covering it.
