Why Spend $40 Million?

Bob Mueller said that the only reason why Trump wasn’t charged with a crime is because “a sitting president can’t be charged with a crime,” intimating that he IS guilty of a crime, but they can’t prosecute him. If that is true, and I’m not saying it isn’t, why the hell did the US government spend $40 million dollars of your MONEY on a two-year-long exercise in futility? His purpose was, I am sure, to make the world think that President Trump DID commit crimes, for which he couldn’t be prosecuted, so why bother? Why bother, indeed? The whole Mueller “investigation” was a sham, a CON designed to cover up the real Russian collusion that was actually (and provably) done by Hillary Clinton and was the very BASIS for Mueller’s sham “investigation.” The “Steel Dossier” was KNOWN to be false, even BEFORE his “investigation” began, and he had to know that. But he went ahead, anyway, using that false document to obtain “warrants” to spy on the Trump campaign. This has been one of the biggest cons ever perpetrated on the American pubic, and this supposedly “honest man” knew it, and went along with it. Which should rightly forever stain his so-called “sterling reputation.” His entire presentation was purposely designed to keep the con alive, after he failed to find ANY evidence of wrongdoing, in the hands of the Congress, whose House is peopled by many anti-Trumpers, and could be counted on the keep it going. And Jerry Nadler picked it right up, as planned. (Just common sense)
