Was Trump "Prophesied?"

Dutch politician and historian Guillaume Groen van Prinsterer (1801-1876) is credited with what seems an eerily prescient foreshadowing of the bizarre phenomenon that is 'Trump 2016.' 'Pent-up anger and long-held frustration due to economic stagnation, moral decay, spiritual impotency, and political corruption,' he opined, 'invariably pave the way for the rise of crass manipulators. Instead of a mastery of truth, such revolutionary opportunists tap into fear and rage, ignorance and prejudice, staging great public spectacles of narcissism.” When i first saw this headline, i thought they were talking about “The End Times” and the rise of a “false prophet,” and I immediately envisioned Obama as the subject of the writer's thoughts. I was wrong. He's talking about Trump. But is that BAD? Why does everybody you hear from ASSUME Trump is bad for this country while he gains more and more delegates? Yes, he's got a “big mouth.” So does Cruz. Yes, he “fights back, HARD. Isn't that what we NEED? Why do they assume he can't win? They always do so without giving any concrete reasons WHY he “can't win.” I think he's “God's gift to the GOP. But, as usual, the Republican “establishment” won't be able to control him, so they'd rather destroy their party by voting for the opposition, or manipulate the rules in their convention than nominate him. This is mass stupidity, on their part. (Matt Barber/Town Hall)
