Why Fight Trump?

Why is everybody fighting Donald trump? Even Republicans, who should welcome a man of his caliber into their ranks. They should take note of the fact that Trump is leading in every way possible. That should tell them something, but it won't It frightens them. they know he can "upset their little applecart" and take away their little fiefdoms. They've proven they don't have the gonads to fight the Democrats in so many ways nobody cares what they think, any more. Except for a few of them, and Trump is so far ahead of them they'll never even make it to the starting line. And the only way they'll stop trump is to change the rules in such an underhanded way he can't overcome it. All they can do is make some sort of rule in convention to BAR him from the nomination, no matter what ANYONE says, forcing him to run as an independent, which will do one of two things: one, the election will go to the Democrats, and we'll be saddled with yet another socialist who will continue Obama's work to destroy this nation for the next four (maybe eight) years; or he will WIN as an independent, in spite of everything the Republicans can do, therefore destroying the Republican Party and making them go the way of the Whigs. Does the Republican Party CARE about the future of this country? I don't believe those running it today do. All they're interested in is their own narrow interests, and they are willing to destroy this country in the process of promoting them. Notice in this article (linked below) in the liberal rag, “The Daily Kos” (whatever that means), the picture they use of Trump is very ugly. They probably searched high and low to find one that ugly.
