What's WRONG With the UN?

This has happened many times in the past; regimes KNOWN for human rights violations (such as Libya under Khadaffy, however he spelled it) given seats on the Human Rights Council, with power to criticize other countries about human rights. Why do such regimes continually be given these seats? Maybe there just aren’t enough countries in the UN NOT guilty of such violations. After all, this is a place where ALL the dictators of the world have representation; but to place such regimes ON the councils SUPPOSEDLY controlling these violations, allowing them to avoid responsibility for them? Every time the United Nations does this they further discredit themselves as a TRUE champion of such rights and give more ammunition to those wishing to eliminate the UN altogether. I’ve always thought the UN was a vast waste of time and money, and I’ve come to think they’re a waste of space, as well. (Last Resistance)
