Are We Dumb? Or What?

Dumb, apparently. According to a Marist poll, 26% of us don’t even know from whom we declared independence! That’s tragic! I can understand people being more interested in making a living and living their lives than knowing who is president and what’s he up to, but not knowing such a basic thing as from whom we declared independence?
