"Read the Bill? Ha, ha!"

One member of Congress actually LAUGHED at the idea that he should READ the bill before he votes it into law. He said it’s silly to expect him to read a multi-thousand-page bill (they count on that) before he votes it into law so “we can find out what’s in it.” Funny; that’s what I thought he was elected to DO! That’s how politicians GET bad law enacted. Make it way too long for ANYBODY to read in a couple of days, then schedule a vote the very NEXT DAY. Another scam is to add something to a “must pass bill” in the “dead of night” just before the bill is passed, without telling anybody. Something that has nothing to do with the original bill, but which is then the law of the land with NOBODY knowing about it until it is enforced. These are two well known cons used by politicians (mostly liberals). (Just common sense)
