"It's the Cops' Fault!"

Yeah, maybe Jussie Smollet lied in his attempt to slander President Trump with his publicity stunt, where he paid two men to do a false “attack” screaming insults about this being “MAGA Country,” But the cops didn’t have to take it so seriously, so it’s their fault his publicity stunt fell through and cost him a lot, including his job. Never mind it was supposedly an attack on a “popular actor,” which would have caused headlines and a lot of pressure, the very sort of thing that would have required a thorough investigation. I don’t know where he found these stupid lawyers, but such an argument cannot possibly hold water in a court of law. The whole thing smacks of stupidity. Surely he didn’t think his “co-conspirators” would remain silent when faced with a possible prison sentence for the “crime” he claimed, and paying them for it with a check was just plain stupid on his part. On top of which, Chicago is NOT known to be “MAGA Country,” and to claim it was is a stretch. Chicago is solidly Dumocrat, and always has been, which is why the city is in so much trouble. And for the State’s Attorney to drop the charges against him out of hand reflects a certain stupidity on her part, as well. The whole thing was stupid, from all angles, and Smollett is getting what he deserves for trying to advance his career while slandering Trump supporters. The only people acting properly in all of this are the cops. (Western Journal)
