The System Worked!

. . . Not! The system is geared to find weapons that are metal-based, not Jockey shorts based. So this would-be terrorist failed to blow up his plane due to his own incompetence and the diligence and heroism of several passengers and flight crew members, and a lot of luck that the detonator did not work. If it had, those passengers and crew would now be dead, and so would the terrorist. The terrorists WILL get better at training their fools, and soon one WILL work if we don’t get better at keeping such people off airplanes. Like local gun laws, which provide an unlimited supply of unarmed victims to criminals, who do NOT obey laws that say they can’t be armed. All the new “regulations” do is make it more unpalatable to fly without doing ANYTHING to stop would-be terrorists and their explosive shorts from boarding. (Cliff May/Town Hall)
