When he sat there and listened to Obama lying about their recent decision outlawing part of the McCain-Feingold Act (The whole thing ought to be outlawed). He didn’t jump up and shout “You lie!” as one congressman did when he couldn’t take Obama’s lies any longer. He merely whispered it to another Justice, and the press went wild, saying he should just SHUT UP! I think he’s as entitled to his opinion as any other American citizen, and was within his rights if he DID stand up and shout “You lie!” The big problem in this country now is nobody DOES call Obama on his many blatant lies. The Supreme Court is charged with making sure the laws Congress passes adhere to the word and spirit of the Constitution, and that’s what they did in this case, even if it does anger Obama. Angering Obama is not a consideration. If the law is unconstitutional it is unconstitutional, regardless of what Obama thinks. Did you notice when others gave Obama a standing "O" as he lied, the Justices remained seated and did not applaud? I think that said more than Alito's "mouthing." (Washington Post)

Keeping Us Defenseless

That seems to be the goal of most of our governments (local and federal). When Islamic terrorists come here to kill us, as they will when they realize Obama’s government is not nearly as solid in opposition to that as the Bush government was, we will be completely defenseless because honest, reliable people are not allowed to be armed for self defense). Right now all we have to worry about is “run-of-the-mill criminals” and crazies who occasionally go into places they can be pretty sure have no guns to oppose them and shoot them up. But what will happen when an Islamic terrorist goes into a crowd and starts shooting? There will be no one there to shoot him down and stop his killing, so many will die. One of my fondest memories is of an Israeli woman standing over a Palestinian (Islamic) terrorist, pumping bullets into his face when he tried to start a shooting spree. In Israel, EVERYBODY carries a gun. Another fond memory is of a pretty blond woman worshiping at a church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, when a man came in the church, shooting. She was legally armed, and she shot him, ending his shooting spree

Has anybody ever noticed that such shooting sprees always happen in “no-gun zones?” Places where the shooter can be reasonably sure there will be no unexpected guns aimed in HIS direction? Our politicians need to start using common sense regarding self defense and the means to that end. For some reason (I know what it is) they want to keep us unarmed, and thus unable to defend ourselves against the illegally-obtained guns carried as a matter of course by criminals, crazies, and terrorists. In SPITE of all the anti-gun laws, guns are easy to get almost anywhere for those willing to break the law. The tighter the anti-gun laws are in a given area, the easier it is to buy an illegal gun. People bent on breaking laws don’t OBEY anti-gun laws. Only honest people do, and are thus unable to protect themselves against those who flagrantly violate ALL laws. We need to do as Florida has done and make it easy for honest people to obtain “carry licenses,” so that those who would use their illegally-obtained guns to plunder us will never be able to know if their intended victims are armed and willing to kill them before they can kill us. Pro-Abortionists Hate Ad

Focus on the Family is going to run an ad in the Superbowl celebrating LIFE, and reasons for NOT killing unborn infants before they’ve ever had a chance at life, using the experiences of a successful football player as an example. The pro-abortion people are incensed that ANYBODY would run an ad celebrating life, instead of death, as they do. They want to get CBS to usurp the right to speak on the part of Focus on the Family. They also hate it when we use their true name, "pro-abortionists," instead of their obfuscating name, “pro-choice.” Abortion isn’t about a “woman’s right to choose.” It’s about her “right to kill the result of unprotected sex,” rather than use a rubber. They insist we use the name they have DICTATED for us to use, rather than the more descriptive “pro-abortion.” I never thought we would be in a debate over whether or not to celebrate NOT killing babies. But we are. (Just common sense)

Newsweek's Howard Fineman, in a desperate effort to deny the documented racism of Democrats, says “Republicans have a terrible record on race.” Forgetting entirely that when the Equal Rights Amendment was passed, it was the Republicans pushing it, and the Democrats fighting it “tooth and nail.” (Media Research Center)

Equaling the Union Effect

The Democrats are bemoaning the recent Supreme Court decision to allow corporations to spend as much money as they wish to influence elections. They’re afraid that corporations will be able to EQUAL the influence unions have had on elections, since Obama specifically exempted them from the law the Supremes overturned. They can’t have that. The unions are on Obama’s side, as long as he specifically exempts them from laws affecting other people. They talk about “opening it up to big money” while forgetting entirely that until now it has been open JUST to the “big money” the unions can spend by stealing their members’ money. Chavez Clobbers the Poor

After all his “big words” about being “for the poor,” he recently “clobbered them” by making their money worth less, all at once, by devaluing the currency. That’s what dictators do to mask their theft of the money of their citizens. Nixon did it to America, and you can expect it to happen here again soon, as Obama begins to realize the error of his ways. (Investor’s Business Daily)

Counterterrorism Officials Asleep

Remember the “shoe bomber?” They were surprised then, too. As they were when the “skivvy bomber” tried to strike. Both would-be terrorists were badly trained, and thus were unable to set off their bombs aboard airplanes. But that doesn’t mean the next one won’t be successful. These “officials” need to WAKE UP and stay AHEAD of what the terrorists (who are, after all, still living in the fifteenth century) are going to come up with next. If the terrorists can think of it, we can certainly think of it first, and be on the lookout for it. They need to stop inconveniencing EVERYBODY and start PROFILING people who are in that group (radical MUSLIMS) who want to kill everybody who doesn’t believe the same way they do. That is, I believe, the heights of religious intolerance. So we inconvenience some “good Muslims.” So what? It has been almost ALWAYS Muslims who make such attempts in recent years. So why look at blond, blue-eyed Scandinavians and others first? Better than inconveniencing EVERYBODY and thus not having TIME to look in the right direction. (Investor’s Business Daily)

Fiddling With Congress

They’re not going to let Scott Brown take Teddy Kennedy’s seat in Congress until AFTER the vote on Obama’s health care swindle (unless they chicken out). “As Democratic chances in 2010 are buffeted by public opposition, Republican Brown's chances to win the seat have shifted from science fiction to a real possibility [and, in fact, reality -RT]. The polls were conflicted. The Boston Globe shows Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley with a 50-35 lead. Public Policy Polling puts Brown up 48-47.” (Investor’s Business Daily) for the first time in a long time, a Republican has a chance to win in liberal Massachusetts (and he did) because the liberal, socialist Democrats thought they “had it all” and could shove the health care swindle down our throats. Only problem is, people are “waking up” and even if it does pass, numerous Democrats are going to suffer. It isn’t even sure it’s GOING to pass. But they’re trying every dirty trick in the book, and some that are not, to get it passed before they lose their tenuous majority. (Investor’s Business Daily)

Six-Year-Old Dead of Neglect

And it’s all the fault of the conservatives. “Air America,” the liberal (“progressive”) radio network, is dead after six years of life. Mostly because not enough conservatives listened to their crap, and even liberals mostly avoided them because they were TOO liberal. So they couldn’t get sponsors and depended on money given them by moveon.org to stay on the air, even though they couldn’t pay their employees. I guess they thought their employees should work for nothing, since they had (in their opinion) such an important message. I don’t expect AlGore’s network to last that long because he doesn’t have Soros’ support. But I DO expect them to start griping about how “unfair” it is that the government doesn’t FORCE people to listen to their drivel. (Glenn Beck)

One Defeat After Another

Obama’s party has lost now in three elections, including the one in which a conservative Republican beat their handpicked Democrat in a “Democrat safe state.” Now even his decision to keep Ben Bernanke on as Fed Chairman is in danger. Everybody thought that, at least, was a “safe decision,” but it apparently is not (it may survive, but not without argument). I think his party is going to lose a lot more seats in Congress in this year’s election, completely destroying the 60-seat majority in the Senate he thought would allow him and his henchmen to rape this country easily. A majority that began to disintegrate with the election of a Republican to “Teddy Kennedy’s (unlosable) seat in the Senate. I hope the losses continue until he loses to Sarah Palin in 2012. A New Democrat Low

Most of this ad contains the usual Democrat crap, such as “in lockstep with Republicans,” as if Martha wasn’t “in lockstep with Democrats” and that being a Republican, he ought to be “in lockstep with Democrats.” Then there’s the old “tax breaks for the rich” scam, pitting average people against those who have earned a lot of money (through superior effort and creativity) while providing jobs for them (average people). And, of course, there’s the usual “scare the hell out of the old folks” scam. But the worst part of this ad is insinuating He’s against prosecuting rapists or help for rape victims. Even if I were a Democrat I wouldn’t vote for this woman because of the mindset displayed in this one ad. She lost, and that’s a good thing. Maybe now they won’t be able to pass Obama’s health care swindle (this time). But they’ll be back, count on it. Notice, they can’t even spell the name of their state. (You Tube)

Shoot "Em Instead?

The Supreme Court is interfering in the “minute-to-minute” maybe lifesaving decisions a cop must make in an instant during a stop. They are not on the scene and don’t know anything about the decisions he/she must make to preserve his/her own life if a subject attacks, especially if that subject is much bigger than the cop. Would they rather the cop SHOOT the subject, rather than use a stun gun on him? Frankly, I’d much rather he use a stun gun on me rather than shoot me (of course, I'm smart enough not to attack a cop). It’s always a problem when people who are NOT “on the scene” attempt to “second-guess” the cops, especially BEFORE something happens. (New York Times)

Will Brown Run for President?

He beat everything the Democrats could throw at him and took “Teddy”s seat.” Somebody will, I’m sure, criticize me for asking such a ridiculous question. After all, when was the last time a “junior senator” ran for, and won, the presidency? Oh, right. In the last election! The CURRENT president was a “junior senator” when he ran. Nobody knew who he was or what he stood for, but the press painted him as the “Second Coming” and the “Messiah.” Even while spouting such words as “redistributing the wealth” and “gonna bankrupt the coal industry” (without which, we could not survive) in between making more promises than he could EVER hope to keep, the electorate somehow didn’t understand that such words made it obvious he wanted to make a socialist nation out of America. It's So Damned Subtle

You don’t even notice it unless you’re paying attention. The artist that does “Crankshaft” believes in that environmental crap (as opposed to environmental realism) preached by AlGore and part of that is his belief that those “curly” light bulbs should be used (which I’m not going to do as long as I can get the real ones, even if I have to smuggle them in). So Crankshaft has to change a bulb and, guess what? In his hand is a “curly bulb.” Nothing said, it’s just there as a matter of course. (Crankshaft)

Redistributing Income

Obama is always on about this, and that should be very instructive, since “income redistribution” is a basic tenet of communism, socialism, and their parent, collectivism. Income redistribution is TAKING income EARNED by those capable and willing to earn for themselves, and GIVING that taken (stolen) to those unable or unwilling to earn for themselves. Now, this might be okay for people UNable to earn for themselves due to injury or handicap. But liberals include able-bodied people who just WON’T earn for themselves in the list of those to whom that stolen is GIVEN. The only recognizable “demand” on the earnings of those who DO earn is that the recipient have a sufficient NEED, making NEED a DEMAND on the earnings of others. This is THEFT in any man’s language, except for liberals. If you want to keep more of what you earn, liberals call you selfish.

It is NOT selfish to want to keep what you earn. That’s why you work. If you could not keep what you earn and use it for your own purposes, where’s the incentive to work? That’s key. Collectivism (socialism and all its other names meaning basically the same thing) destroys incentive and thus reduces productivity generally. Reducing productivity gives us less to sell to others at a profit. Profit is the “lifeblood” of commerce. Even communist countries must make a profit when selling products to other countries, otherwise, why bother? If people know their income will be given to others, they will not work as hard. That’s an undeniable fact that liberals just can’t understand. (Economist, Professor Thomas Sowell)

Profiling

Women wearing traditional Muslim headscarves are “singled out” for extra scrutiny in airports, and they wonder why. They call it “obvious profiling,” and they’re right. But what SHOULD we do when Muslims (not all of them, I know) are murdering us all over the world because we don’t believe the same as they do. Ignore them? No; we profile them and subject them to extra scrutiny. Anything less would be STUPID. And we’re not stupid, as extremist Muslims seem to think we are. Yes, profiling for profiling’s sake alone and subjecting people to extra scrutiny because of things like race and even religion is wrong—except that when we are being attacked by a certain group, we have to keep an extra eye on members of that group, innocent or not. That’s how we find the guilty and stop the killing. (Just common sense)

Is "Obamacare" Unconstitutional?

Was it James Madison, the WRITER of the Constitution, who once said (paraphrasing) “I fail to see anything in the constitution saying Congress can take property from one citizen to give to another.”? He certainly should know, being the AUTHOR of the Constitution itself. So everything Obama is doing in an effort to “share the wealth” is not only ILLEGAL, it’s unconstitutional. But then, Obama doesn’t care. He wants to do it, so he’s going to shove it down the throats of the American people if it chokes them, which it will. This woudn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that this government has been violating the Constitution since almost before the ink dried on its signing without significant opposition. Trying Foreign Combatants Here is Insane!

Our idiot government immediately cut off any chance of gaining any useful intelligence from the “skivvy bomber” by indicting him in an American criminal court while allowing him to “:lawyer up” and CLAM up. This guy, and others like him, need to be treated as the foreign combatants they are, even if they do not represent a recognizable country. They need to be sent to a place where they can be questioned in a manner that they did not expect. One that is guaranteed to get them to babble everything they know before they are lined up before a wall and shot like the animals they are. Yes, I know, animals don’t rate such insults. “When Pelosi was first handed the gavel in January 2007, the U.S. economy employed 137.3 million people and our nation's unemployment rate stood at 4.6%. According to the Labor Department's most recent report, the U.S. economy has shed 6.3 million jobs since then, and 10% of our workforce is now unemployed.” She paints that as “progress.” In a party that reveres failure, Pelosi is queen. It Must Be Global Warming!

It’s FREEZING out! Alert AlGore! He has to come up with a reason to explain why freezing weather is caused by global warming! Oh; I forgot. He isn’t calling it “global warming” any more, although the base of his swindle is STILL a SINGLE DEGREE of temperature increase in a HUNDRED YEARS. What’s WRONG with this guy?
