Do the Democrats WANT To Destroy Us?

It looks that way. Everything they do or want to do is something that will hurt us. They want to destroy, or tax into bankruptcy "big business" of any kind. We're constantly hearing about "big oil" and the "need" to "take" their "record profits" (profits which, I might add, are theirs because the liberals {Democrats} will not allow them to drill for new oil and so that money stays in their "coffers."). They think "profit" is a "dirty word," when it is profits that keep this world running. they want to punish those who are CONTRIBUTING to the economy while rewarding those who do NOT. Even communist (socialist) countries like China have to make a profit in their dealings with other countries or they will "wither and die." They won't admit it to their citizens while they sell the fruits of their labors and keep the money, but it's true. Even Hugo Chavez, who hates the very thought of "profits" still must make a profit when he sells his stolen oil to other countries. They still think the way to self-defense is to DISARM us. Both personally, AND as a country. We constantly hear about "talking to" the terrorists, who simply want to KILL us. What do we "talk to them" about? How many innocent citizens we'll ALLOW them to kill before we stop them? Jimmy Carter is a fool. He has always BEEN a fool, and he is cementing that image by trying (again) to "talk to" the Islamic terrorists. Liberals whine about "the politics of personal destruction," but look what Bill Clinton tried to do to The American Spectator after the Spectator published a number of articles telling the truth about his and his wife's dealings. If you say ANYTHING that hurts them, they "come after you with all guns blazing." (Isn't that "the politics of personal destruction?") They're constantly "beating the drums" of recession, hoping we'll go into one before the election. That we haven't,by now, is bad for their chances. One of these days I'm going to do a book listing all the things liberals (Democrats) have done to hurt us, because it would TAKE a book. A BIG one, to list them all. (Just common sense)

"Out of Context?" Bullpoop!

The liberal press is insisting we (the "right-wingers") have "taken Rev. Wright out of context.") That his racist remarks were made a long time ago and he didn't believe that crap any more. I say that's a load of bull! Once a racist, always a racist, and Wright is a racist who hates whites and has hated them for a long time, while teaching his parishioners to hate them, too. They say his opinions shouldn't "tar" Obama. I say if Obama sat in his congregation Sunday after Sunday and listened to this crap, he believes the same way--or he'd have gotten up and left. He didn't. And Wright just repeated the same claptrap in his recent speech at the National Press Club in a "Q&A" session. He made a couple of "conciliatory" speeches, but when questioned, he reverted quickly to his racist crap. He says he "never discussed politics with Obama." What a load! This kind of man could NEVER resist "discussing politics" with a politician. He says Obama "says what he has to say as a politician" and "I say what I have to say as a man of God." Does that mean what both say is a lie? It's hard to "take him out of context" when he repeats his racist rants every time he gets up to speak. Obama is now saying he "denounces" Rev. Wright's remarks, but he is still not "denouncing" Rev. Wright. I don't believe him. I think he's just frightened that Wright could derail his dream to be president and will "throw him under the bus" if that's what it takes. (News Max)

Dems Emphasize American Deaths in Iraq

They don't care if the Islamic terrorists are "freed up" to come here and kill Americans. They just want to "end the war in Iraq." How long have we been in Germany and Europe? How about other places in the world where were once at war? We aren't "at war" in Iraq now, we're just "cleaning up" after a very short war in which we won in a few weeks. How LOW can they GO? I don't think there is a place too low for the Democrats to go to con us into voting them into office. No lie is too big, no scam is too elaborate for them to use to con us into keeping them in office so they can gain more and more control over what all of us do, every day. That is their goal; power. There's nothing they won't do to gain or keep it. They insult our intelligence every day. They think we're stupid. But actually, most of us are just ignorant. Ignorant because so many of us "pay no attention to politics" until a few months before an election when the lies are flying from both sides. They don't keep track of what their candidates are DOING every day to limit their rights and get their PERMISSION to do it! I'm tired of it. (News Max)

Not Racism; Culture

There's a good reason why certain people (sometimes referred to as "races") excel while others do not. It isn't "race," it's the CULTURE in which they live that decides their intelligence level, not their RACE. "Read the biographies of the important scholars and scientists in European history and it's interesting to note how many of them changed countries frequently, either seeking patronage or escaping persecution. The political unity of China and the diversity of Europe may be a function of their respective geographies. These factors in combination lead to different civilizations achieving different levels of technology, science--and law. These, in turn, lead to different standards of living and quality of life. When technology made mass immigration around the world possible, huge numbers of people began to express their opinion of what the good life was by voting with their feet. In doing so, they destroyed the racialist explanation forever, though of course, some continue to cling to it because their pitiful excuse for self-esteem is bound up in it." Free Speech Is NOT Total

Freedom of speech doesn't mean you can come into my living room and "peddle your opinion," if I don't want you to do so. The right to exclude people from making speeches in places you own is part and parcel of the right to property. Liberals seem to think "free speech" means they can say what they want, anywhere, without consequences. That's not the way it works. Free speech means simply they can say what they want in PUBLIC, or anywhere else where it is ALLOWED by the property owner, without being put in jail or executed BY THE GOVERNMENT. That's ALL it means. Liberals are well known for banning people from speaking in THEIR venues if they don't agree with what they say. Maybe they should learn that the same rules apply to EVERYBODY. The "Religious Wall"

The Constitution says very clearly, that "Congress can make NO LAW regarding religion or the practice thereof." So liberals, who HATE religions other than their own (which is liberalism), are constantly MAKING LAWS regarding the PREVENTION of the practice of religion and twisting that into "recognizing the 'wall' between religion and government." They want to ELIMINATE RELIGION from sight, everywhere, and they're doing it successfully. They'll say I'm a "religious zealot" for writing this, which is typical of how liberals respond to ANY criticism: don't answer the criticism; just "label" the critic. But aside from believing in a superior being that has ORGANIZED this universe, I can't say I'm very religious. Many people CLAIM to know EXACTLY what that Supreme Being (God) has in mind, but ALL of that is merely what MAN wants to foist upon us in the NAME of God, some of it good, some of it bad, and I just don't buy it. Liberal Myth Revealed

The liberals would have you believe that under a liberal regime there is no poverty, no racism, that life should be "nirvana," with everybody "fat and happy." But New Orleans, having been under unfettered liberal "rule" for many years, is one of the poorest cities in the nation and has a miserable racism problem. It has a black majority that can't make it on their own and the local government isn't helping them at all. Just as in Boulder, Colorado, there should NOT be racism (according to liberals) but there is, New Orleans should be completely without problems after being under the liberals for years. But they have more problems, more racism, more poverty and people living in slums than most cities, and the liberals are bummed that this has been revealed for all to see.

Starbucks Hates Capitlism

Starbucks Coffee Stores, which have benefited mightily from "lassez-faire capitalism," apparently does not like it. A man went into one of those ubiquitous coffee shops and they told him they would "personalize" his "Starbucks Card," a "debit card-style" card you can use to pay in advance for your coffee and even give to friends as a gift. But as soon as they found out what he wanted on his card, they refused. It was "laissez-faire." They've allowed many liberal mottoes on their cards, but will not permit this one. If I ever drank their coffee, I would certainly stop now. Frankly, I don't drink coffee that tastes like battery acid. (Paul Jacob/Common Sense)

Do "The Rich" Not Pay Their Fair Share?

Have you ever been told by a liberal that "the rich" don't pay "their fair share" of taxes?" They keep telling this lie, over and over, hoping repetition will make it true. But it's NOT true. The top one percent of ("the rich," according to liberals) paid 39.4% of the total taxes paid, according to THE IRS! The bottom 50% of wage-earners paid a MAXIMUM of 7.5% since 1981, and only 3.5% in 2005! The top 50% of wage-earners paid 96.9% of all taxes paid. This does not even include those who are "net tax-receivers" who earn no money and live at the government's expense (and thus vote Democrat to keep the "goodies" coming). Jimmy Carter: Laughing Stock

It is this kind of action, treating one of the world's best-known terrorists and murderers as if he should have the same respect as one of our "unknown soldiers" that has made former president Jimmy Carter (one of the worst in recent history) a laughingstock all over the world. In addition to being one of this country's most incompetent presidents, he is now an incompetent EX-president; and every time he gets conned into doing something like this, he proves it yet again. I think Carter is in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease and should be controlled by someone more competent. (News Max)

They proved again that no matter how badly you're disgraced, the liberal media will still "revere" you, give you awards, and continue to honor you even after you've had to leave your job in disgrace--if you're a liberal. If you're not, they'll be "dancing in the streets") At the dinner where they were "honoring" this dishonored man, he decried the "new order" in the news business where "corporate interests" were able to put stronger pressure on newspeople. But was it that? No, it was the "blogosphere" that discovered, and PROVED his lies, giving us "chapter and verse" as to how those "disputed" documents could not possibly be real, since the very technology found in the documents did not exist then. No, it's not a "new order of corporate pressure" that was your undoing. It was a new insistence on the TRUTH and the fact that you and your cohorts no longer control the dissemination of the news (Just common sense)

Phony "Racism" Charges

"Too "Extreme"

North Carolina GOP is planning to run an ad featuring Obama's "mentor" and pastor (of 20 years) Rev. Wright screaming "God DAMN America! What is "racist" about that? What is "extreme" about it except for Rev. Wright's tirade? This is exactly what Republicans are afraid of, a phony "racism" charge whenever they criticize Obama, in any way, because he is part black. They KNOW the Democrats, and they know they can EXPECT such charges, no matter what they say, or what they criticize about Obama. I have been called "racist" because I haven't been afraid to criticize "race-baiters" Al sharpton, Jesse Jackson and (Calypso Louie) Louis Farrakan. McCain is so afraid of it he denounced the ad without ever seeing it! The same thing applies to anybody who criticizes Hillary, too. Except they'll be whining about "attacking the girl." I've been suffering this "election" crap for a long time now, and I'm getting tired of it. I don't like either of them; not because one is half black or the other is all woman, but because they're BOTH socialists and incompetent "war-haters" who will (if they keep their word) SURRENDER to the Islamic terrorists as soon as they can, leaving the terrorists free to kill people right here in this country, which they've not been able to do with Bush keeping them busy elsewhere. ABC News Lies...Again

About guns! What did you think they lied about? Everything? Probably. They lie about so many things in their efforts to support the liberal/socialist programs, it's hard to pick out what specific lies to tell about. I used to watch ABC News regularly, until I learned why what I thought I knew was so different from the truth. They had been lying to me, right along. So have NBC and CBS, and just about every other "news source" except Fox and certain news sites on the Internet. I've learned not to depend on the "major media" (which is quickly becoming the "minor media) for anything news-wise. That's a lesson many people will NEVER learn, and I'm sorry to know that. Church Supporters: "Let's Work Together"

Many archdioceses have gone bankrupt from paying million dollar settlements to victims of priests who have sexually abused them for years. Now they're facing yet another suit from a man who was abused 30 years ago by a now-dead priest. The church cites all their "good works" in their defense. I say it doesn't matter ho much "good work" they do if the church has a policy of "covering up" such abuse, moving the offending priest from church to church, never warning diocese members he's a sexual predator. This is so common, it might end up bankrupting the entire Catholic church. Someone now even wants to sue the Pope! And if it can be proven the Pope APPROVED the practice of moving offending priests around where they're not known, without warning possible victims, I'm all for it.

Put Him in the Dumpster

Vladmir Lenin, one of the early leaders in the murderous system of communism in Russia, the system responsible for millions of deaths and the enslavement of an entire people for more than 70 years, is STILL "enshrined," lying in state in Red Square. They should have gotten rid of him long ago. I say throw him in the dumpster with the rest of the trash. If ever Russia needed to make someone an "unperson," this is it.

No Dealing With Militant Islam

The militant Islamic terrorists will NOT talk to us. They're not interested in anything except killing non-Muslims, and nothing we can say to them will dissuade them. The only way to dissuade militant Islamic terrorists is to kill them before they can kill us. The "American policies" they blame are long preceded by militant Islamism, so that excuse doesn't fly. Didja Ever notice that the pictures of Cindy Sheehan's "gatherings" are always close-ups? Never a wide "crowd shot." Much like those of other liberal gatherings such as the NOW gang, to avoid showing that there are only about ten or twenty people there. After criticizing Hillary in public, Cindy can't even draw the dozen or more she used to be able to "gather." In this picture, it looks like they're pretty much outnumbered by the Secret Service agents inside the fence.

Expelled for Having Gay Parents?

What the hell? In a country where it's against the law to discriminate against gays, a school has the audacity to expel a CHILD because her PARENTS are gay? Jeeze! Are they TRYING to "goose" the anti- or pro-gay folks into a fight? Do they WANT to have trouble with the feds? Some imbecile in the school office must have SOME kind of an "axe to grind," but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. I don't have anything against gays, nor do I think they should be allowed to "throw it in my face" and teach my children that "gay is okay." But to expel a CHILD because her PARENTS are gay? How stupid is that? Sheesh!

Mugabe Deathly Afraid He'll Lose!

He's deathly afraid he's going to lose this election he's in right now. His government refuses to release the numbers while he plans a "runoff" election that might not really be necessary. He might have lost already, which may be why he won't release the numbers. He's a thug who conned his way into the presidency of Zimbabwe and has stolen a lot of land from "the little people" and has given it to his friends. He's afraid if he loses and is no longer "the president," his life is going to be a lot more constrained. He will no longer be able to steal people's land and give it to his rich friends, and maybe someone from whom he has stolen everything might even kill him. He's one of those people who are only alive because it's illegal to kill him. (CNN)

Why Do I Do This?

Attending the Sam Adams Alliance meeting yesterday caused me to question the reasons why I spend so much time blogging. Why do I sit at this computer and put my life in jeopardy by criticizing that "religion of peace," the Muslim religion where people want to KILL YOU for criticizing them, even for simply "DEPICTING" Muhammed in a cartoon? I'm sure I'm making a lot of enemies among elite liberals and those they have conditioned to believe as they do (I LOVE that!). Aside from keeping my mind busy (to stay alive longer), it's mostly because I see so many things happening in this world that are not only ignorant, but stupid, and I want to have a small part in correcting these things by bringing the TRUTH at least to those people who read what I've written. Ignorance can be corrected by an infusion of FACTS. Stupidity results when people refuse to accept facts when the proof is before their eyes. Liberals call me "cynical," and they're right--at least by my definition of "cynical." It is: "Somebody who has been around long enough to have seen most of it before, and is not surprised to see it again." Many people wonder why "senior citizens" seem to be "grumpy" all the time. I can answer that: it's because of the above sentence. They see so much ignorance and stupidity (that has happened before) and no one younger listens to them, and they GET grumpy. Yes, I'm a "grumpy old man." Now I know why, and I expect to be so for a while because I intend to be a "thorn in the side" of liberalism and socialism everywhere as long as I can. Maybe the Sam Adams Alliance and its Denver branch, Samsphere, can help me do that. I hope so.

It's Still A Silly Rule

In Florida recently, the legislature passed a law to keep employers from firing workers who are licensed to carry guns who lock them in their cars while at work. Remember the Texas case where a licensed gun carrier had to leave her gun in her car while she and her parents went into a restaurant to eat? The one who had to watch while a random gunman came in and murdered her parents before her eyes because she had to leave her gun in the car? Then there was the case where a gunman came into a restaurant in Florida a few years ago and started shooting people. He stopped when a restaurant customer shot him dead. Gun-haters have an unreasoning fear of THE GUN itself. It's stupid! A gun cannot shoot anybody until a PERSON pulls the trigger. And if that person is an honest non-criminal, it will only be used to STOP "bad guys" with their easily-obtained illegal guns from killing people. If the principal at that Colorado school (Columbine) shooting had been armed when he peeked around a corner and watched a shooter firing into a room so he could have put a couple into him, maybe some of those victims would still be alive. But NO! Schools are "come in and shoot us, there are no guns here" zones. (CCRKBA)

The Religion of Perprtual Whiners

That's what Errol Phillips calls Muslims who refuse to carry Israeli luggage in the UK. And he's right. Nobody whines more about "religious tolerance" when it comes to Muslims, but apparently they don't believe in it where Israelis are concerned. They want--no, DEMAND-- "tolerance for THEIR religion but aren't willing to extend the same tolerance to Israelis, so why should ANYBODY be "tolerant" of their religion? They publish scandalous cartoons about other religions in their newspapers, but demand the DEATH of cartoonists who do nothing more than DEPICT Mohammed (however they spell it today). What's WRONG with these people? I know: they're emulating Mohammed. "Muhammad suffered from malignant narcissistic personality disorder. His followers, to the degree that they emulate him, think like him and try to behave like him, have entered into his narcissistic bubble universe and have become narcissists by extension. This happens to all cultists. In all cults, the insanity of the guru reflects on the followers who surrender their intelligence to him and follow him unquestioningly and brainlessly." How Many Will Die?

How many HAVE died because in the UK they have a new law that patients can't be in ERs for more than four hours? Waits for services became so long under the UK's government-paid health system (You know, the one the liberals point to as being so great?) that they (in their wisdom) made a law that patients could not be made to wait more than four hours in the ER for service. So now patients are being kept OUTSIDE in the ambulances until their stay can be guaranteed to be less than four hours (The clock starts ticking when they enter). This is how they are getting around an impossible law, made to "solve" an impossible problem CREATED by socialized medicine. And the liberals want the same thing here? Gimme a break! They're having similar problems in Canada, which also has socialized medicine. Of course, they don't have the U. S. to come to like they do in Canada. (The Guardian)

Murtha Lies, As Usual

"Representative John Murtha on the alleged Haditha killings, MSNBC [in an] interview with Chris Matthews May 2006: '[T]hey went into houses and killed women and children.' The soldiers involved were eventually cleared of all charges. Murtha never apologized." Surprise, surprise! Liberals never apologize for such lies. They just ignore the correction and hope it will go away. The best we can hope for is for them to say they were "misinformed." (You Tube)

Nobody talks about it because when they do, they're painted as bigots and racists, which is a pretty good way to stop ANY criticism until it's too late to do anything about it. The same people will call ME a racist and a bigot for pointing it out, too. So before I say anything, let me say this is nothing against Mexicans or other Spanish people as a whole. It is against the EXTREMISTS who still believe the entire western United States still belongs to Mexico and have a "conspiracy" going to gain control of it. Not by war; not by "conquest" (which they don't and never will have the strength to accomplish), but by illegal immigration. They're hoping there are so many illegal immigrants in this country soon to overwhelm the electoral process and allow their people to take over enough elective offices to do something about it. And with Democrats working hard to allow illegal immigrants to vote in U. S. elections, it might not be long before it works. Have you noticed how many Spanish surnames there are in elected and appointed office in the U' S. today, especially in the southwest? That's something nobody (but me) has the guts to say, but it's true. So I'll say it. Now the Swedish vodka maker has recognized it, and decided to take advantage of it to increase their share of the "Spanish-speaking market" with their recent ad showing an 1800s map of the U. S. with the entire western U. S. shown as part of Mexico. The "Reconquistas" would love for the map to look that way, but it's not going to happen, no more than "giving back" the United States to England because we won the whole thing through war, just as we did the area they feel is in dispute. It's not. We're not going to "give back" any part of the United States won in war, no more than are they going to give back areas in Mexico and South America that were won in war or revolution. "Loser Pays"

We're one of the only countries in the world that allows lawyers to extort money from us because we know that, even if we win a phony lawsuit, it will usually cost us more than the lawsuit seeks, in legal fees--so we "settle," rather than lose more money than we would if we lost the suit. This is "bullying" of the highest order, and it is something the government itself does to companies whose products they don't like; such as gun manufacturers, who are "under siege" all over the country because "anti-gun freaks" don't like their product, even if the government, itself, must use their product to control the populace. Even though gun manufacturers make a LEGAL product, they can be sued for just about anything and be forced to pay huge legal fees. The courts won't eliminate this "loophole" because it works to the advantage of lawyers everywhere; and who are the legislators who won't change this system? LAWYERS! Maybe we need to break the lawyer's "monopoly" on how the law is made and used. But how do we do it with lawyers ever alert to ANY chance of our changing things to reduce their ability to "sue us broke?" (John Stossel)

Obama Meant Exactly What He Said

He said exactly what he meant to say. The only thing he regrets is that he failed to use "weasel words" so ignorant (in his opinion) voters wouldn't recognize what he was saying. He is a typical liberal socialist elitist, and he hopes you (the "ignorant" voter) don't realize this. He won't allow the news media to use his middle name (Hussein), lest people think he might have Islamic connections; he doesn't want them to call him a "liberal" (which he is); He doesn't want them to know he is an "elitist" (Which he is). He hates it when people examine his voting record (which is uniformly socialist), because people might think he's a socialist (he is). He wants people to forget he stayed in a church run by a blatant racist who has taught his wife (and him?) those racist tenets, until she finds herself ONLY NOW "proud to be an American," now that her husband is "allowed" to run for president and actually have a serious chance of being elected. I hope Obama gets the nomination, because he will be the easier of the two current candidates to beat. Not because he's black, but because he isn't too bright and he IS a socialist. (UPI)

Obama's Socialist "Dream Law"

You don't believe Obama is a socialist? Look at this: " The Global Poverty Act (S.2433) is expected to come up for a vote in the US Senate any time before the November presidential elections, according to conservatives who fear it is a giant step towards handing over US sovereignty to the United Nations and foreign governments. This is the newest liberal-inspired plan to allow a United Nations style tax on American citizens, according to officials at the American Conservative Union. ACU officials say that this "sickening bill could potentially force the United States to spend as much as $845,000,000,000.00 on welfare to third-world countries." Obama is pushing hard for passage of this law. Tell me this isn't socialism! (House Conservatives Fund)

I Hate to Keep Repeating Myself

But nobody I ask seems able to understand me when I ask the same question over and over again: "What makes you think a CRIMINAL, whose entire life is dedicated to breaking the law, will OBEY a law that says he can't be armed? I once asked that question of the Denver mayor's (Wellington Webb) press hack and he accused me of "sending him spam." I asked him if he couldn't tell the difference between spam and personal correspondence, but got no answer.) In Philadelphia, the mayor thinks he can just ignore the state and make his own laws and criminals will obey them. In Washington, DC, they want to go into citizen's homes without warrants (asking "permission" and making them out to "have something to hide" if they refuse) to search for the guns the United States Constitution recognizes their RIGHT to own and use for self-protection. But notice when those cops bull their way in, what they're carrying on their hips; a GUN, naturally. It's strange that they must "enforce" unconstitutional laws against gun ownership with THEIR OWN GUNS! Governments that want to become dictatorial know they must first disarm the populace, so they won't be met with guns when they come to steal what's not theirs. Liberals Must Hide What They Are

They dare not tell us what they stand for (which is socialism) because they know we won't "buy it." So they lie to get elected, trying to make us THINK they're "conservative," then when their lies work and they are elected, GOVERN as liberals (socialists). They SAY they're "for the little guy," but their POLICIES inevitably HURT the "little guy". Just as with the Islamic terrorists, who SAY they are "fighting for the "little guy" everywhere, but maim and KILL anybody who isn't THEIR KIND of Muslim. In both cases, their policies hurt the very people they are claiming to be helping. Yes, liberals don't go out and blow up their critics (I don't think), nor do they kill people indiscriminately. But their POLICIES do, and they just DON'T CARE. Their policies and opinions DEFY reality. Such as their insistence that lowering taxes will not cause the economy to grow. They refuse to believe that EVERY time taxes have been lowered, the economy BOOMS when investors have more money to invest in profit-making, and jobs-creating projects. Their beliefs are just the exact OPPOSITE of reality, but they'll never realize, nor admit that. (Just common sense)

People Are "Lemmings"

Otherwise, why do so many of them line up for days to buy something like the PS3 video game console on its first day offered? Why do people line up for hours and DAYS to buy overpriced tickets to concerts? Why did they line up to buy the very first "Windows" on ITS first day? (I got it much later, without waiting.) The "why" is simple: they've been conditioned to think they must, because it's the "thing to do." All their friends are doing it, so they should, too. The liberals think Americans are stupid. While there are some who aren't, enough of them ARE, to have elected the liberals (socialists) to be in charge in the Congress and in many state governments. People deserve the governments they elect. But those who think otherwise don't. (Just common sense)

Tax Funded Islamic Public School

Everything I've heard lately tells me that "school authorities" are REQUIRED to keep ALL religion out of schools. This violates the constitutional prohibition against ANY law "concerning religion or the practice thereof." But they interpret this to mean anything CHRISTIAN, while they not only ALLOW, but PUSH "Islamic religion teachings." In this story, the writer tells about her investigation of just such a school, funded by taxpayers, and one she was not allowed to enter on some specious and untrue excuse. Now a "substitute teacher": who has worked in this school is talking, and says Islamic religion and religious teachings and practice is a big part of the curriculum in this school. How is this possible? With laws PROHIBITING the "teaching of religion" in our schools (with which I disagree, by the way), how can they teach about a religion that is so FOREIGN to our way of life, trying to "recruit" impressionable children? I don't care if they teach Islam in other places, but I will not stand by and keep my mouth shut while they teach it in PUBLIC school, at taxpayer expense, while keeping Christianity out, and keep people who might expose them out. "The Handcuffs Will Come"

In Oconee County, SC, the county council has a long-standing tradition of beginning official meetings with a prayer--until the ACLU sent a letter telling them that "Your sectarian invocations are blatant violations of federal law [They aren't. -RT] . . .As you know, the town of Great Falls was required to pay well over $50,000 in legal fees that were incurred because of their stubbornness in persisting to use similar invocations." What they DIDN'T tell them is that the ACLU lost. But that's their plan. To use the THREAT of "high legal fees" to intimidate their targets. At a meeting to discuss the issue, one of the ACLU's South Carolina board members delivered a specific threat: "[P]rayers should not be allowed. Especially prayers to Jesus [What about prayers to Allah? -RT] . . . [I]f they continue to break the [imaginary -RT] law, I want to say, the handcuffs are going to come." On what legal basis he thought he could threaten this county council with handcuffs, I don't know. But it worked. The county council "folded" and abolished their long-standing tradition. Not on something REAL, but on the illusory THREAT. The ACLU is out of control and needs to be stopped. (Just common sense)

Trivializing Murder

By calling it "politics." Communist China is calling the current demonstrations against their participation in the Olympics until they stop killing people in Tibet "politics" in an attempt to trivialize those demonstrations and the reasons for them. China SAYS it has "killed no one." What a load! Do they really expect the world to believe a lie like that? That falls into the same category as Iran President Ahmadinijerk's answer about how his country handles gay people. He said, "We have no gay problem in Iran." And he's right, If they find one, they kill him. No "gay problem." Calling such things "politics" is an effort to trivialize it, and is a scam that is used by all socialists to trivialize people who speak out against socialism. On top of that, communist China is not allowing free access for journalists. It's obvious they're hiding something, but what IS IT?

Is This the Real Cuba?

Liberals like to make statements such as, "Cuba features a universal health care system, a minuscule 1.9 percent unemployment rate, near-total literacy, complete political "unity" [It's easy to get "complete political unity" when you murder all those who oppose you. -RT] — and hundreds of thousands of people ready to risk their lives to get the hell out." "Screw Off!"

When you get an answer like this, "Director Lappin did respond to the request, saying that he would take the Congressmen's request under consideration and report back when a decision was made." It's "bureacratese" for "screw off" or words to that effect. This response was to a congressman's request to put those two Border Control officers who were imprisoned for doing their jobs in a minimum security prison while awaiting a pardon instead of the "23-Hour Lockdown" to which they're now being subjected. It's amazing what the government can get away with by "stonewalling" people in what's supposed to be a "free country." (FIRE Society)

It's NOT "The Economy!"

Liberals want us to think that the current "housing crisis" is because of a "bad economy." It is not. It is because of BAD DECISIONS on both sides. On the borrower's side because they borrowed more than they could afford, trusting the "Adjustable Rate Mortgage" to stay low enough for them to continue to be able to make payments, while unscrupulous lenders made sure their payments rose sufficiently to allow them to take the home back and sell it again to another ignorant buyer. The "ARM" allowed them to sell and foreclose and sell again the same house, numerous times, all at great profit to them and great loss to the buyers. It's funny; they talk about a "major economic collapse" in the mortgage industry, but only a FEW mortgage lenders have "gone belly-up," while 96% of buyers have been able to continue making their payments. The government CREATED this problem when Alan Greenspan urged lenders to use the "ARMs," which ENCOURAGED people who couldn't afford it to take on shaky mortgages guaranteed to rise to levels they could not afford to pay. Now these same politicians are demanding that the GOVERNMENT step in and "fix things." Isn't that a little like asking a criminal to "do something about crime?" (Ludwig von Mises Institute)

State Employee/Union Thug

The Michigan Speaker of the House is paying thugs to intimidate people who are signing a petition against his "recession-time" tax increase that is guaranteed to make things in Michigan worse than they are to\day. This is the kind of thing liberals do when they're opposed. They learned it from the Clintons (or did they TEACH it to the Clintons?). Frankly, if I came to sign such a petition and they tried to "hover" over me or call me names they'd be in danger of eating my cane. If they touched me, they'd be committing a felony because I'm 70 years old. Is it any wonder Michigan is in a "state-wide recession?" They SAY these "employees" are doing this on "their own time." Do you believe that? In Michigan, they still buy the liberal notion that to "fix" their financial problems, they need to take more money out of the pockets of people who CREATE wealth, and put it into the pockets of those who only CONSUME wealth (the government). Starbucks Doesn't Like "Laissez Faire"

Yet they're one of the biggest practicers of it (capitalism) in the nation. If I stop and bend over, they're liable to put one of their stores in my back pocket, or somewhere else that might hurt. In one shopping center I went to, there were TWO Starbucks Coffee joints there (one in a grocery store, and one "stand-alone"), while just four miles down the street is another. It won't be long before there is one on every corner. But they hate "laissez faire? Sheesh! Gimme a break! (Wall Street Journal)

How Do You NOT Kill Civilians?

One of the Islamic terrorists' favorite things is to accuse American soldiers of "killing civilians." That's after they have forcibly detained civilians and attacked the Americans from places were they have the civilians prisoner, then run out the back, leaving the civilians, with guns taped to their hands, to be killed in the predictable counter-attack. They dig up dead babies (whom they've no doubt killed) and parade them before television cameras, claiming the Americans killed them, backed up by testimony from other "civilians" who turn out to be terrorists. Then they go out and kill their own civilians and our liberal media says nothing about it. They don't have room. Most of it is devoted to the bogus stories about Americans killing civilians. I tried to get a URL for you, but all I got on Google was liberal sites, and what I saw there made me violently ill with the lies they tell. I found only one that told something like the truth, but it was not about how WE killed Iraqi children, but how the TERRORISTS killed them. It was dated in 2005, but I'll give it to you, anyway. Punishing Success, Rewarding Failure

Everybody's talking about getting rid of the "subsidies" paid to "big oil" while hollering for the government to "bail out" Bear Stearns so they won't go bankrupt. That simply tells me liberals want to "prop up failure" while "punishing success." This is, as usual, contrary to common sense, as is everything liberals do. They think the way to self defense is to DISARM ourselves; they think the way to prosperity is to take away the money investors use to invest in projects that create profits, and thus jobs. They think profit itself is a "bad word," when it is profit that keeps this world going. Why we keep electing and re-electing these people to office so they can screw up our lives is beyond me. Maybe it's because they're such good liars. They repeat their lies over and over and many people come to believe them, as Hitler's PR man told us they would. I'm right now watching Hillary Clinton make a speech under the guise of "questioning" Gen. Petraeus. I've been waiting for a long time now, but haven't heard a "question" yet. Talk about a "free campaign appearance on television!" These people sure know how to manipulate the press.

Hillary Thinks We're Stupid

Surprise, surprise! I've always known it, as evinced by her regular lies. Lies that are easy to disprove, but which she knows most voters will not disprove, but will swallow, "hook, line and sinker." Not because they're really stupid, but because they're ignorant. They "don't pay attention to politics" until just before an election, a time when the lies are flying. This comes from one of her former close advisers, a man who knows her intimately. Dick Morris was one of her close advisors until they broke, late in the Bill Clinton administration (He was "cured" of his liberalism) and he became a "semi-conservative" adviser and columnist. Capital Gains Tax Increase?

I don't know how these Democrat politicians ever expect to get elected as long as they promise tax increases as part of their program. Obama is promising just such an increase in the capital gains tax, which YOU have to pay if you simply sell your house! This tax, if it remains low, will help stimulate the economy. If raised, it will INHIBIT the economy. The Democrats talk a lot about the economy, while they do everything they can to kill it. Obama says he won't raise it past the 28% it was under Clinton, but people "in the know" look for it to rise to as much as 65%! Then other Democrats are promising to let the Bush tax reductions lapse, which is a HUGE tax increase on EVERYBODY. And they think they can be elected on such a promise. I guess they just think most Americans are ignorant. And they might be right, insofar as "politics" is concerned, especially since most of them don't "pay attention to politics" until just before an election when the lies are flying. (Money News)

Wake Up! Saudi Arabia Is the Enemy!

Yes, they PRETEND to be our "allies" in the "war on terror," but if you loook at recent history, the current increase in Islamic terrorism STARTED when Saudi Arabia and other oil-rich countries became "drenched" in oil money WE helped them get! WE drilled for oil. WE brought it up. THEY "nationalized" the oil companies and stole the profits, then financed the Islamic terrorists quietly. Meanwhile, the "greenies" in our country do everything they can to stop us from drilling for oil anywhere this country runs things. Why? To keep from "blocking Ted Kennedy's view" of the shore when he sails. The article linked below brings proof that what I've been saying all along is true. The current Islamic terrorism didn't increase until oil money started financing it, in Saudi Arabia and other countries where WE have helped them find it, and profit from it. Typical Liberal News Coverage

Troops come under fire and call for air support. Not uncommon in war, right? Two "militants (they just won't call them Islamic terrorists)" are killed. But what is next? "Local witnesses say at least three civilians are killed, as well." Surprise, surprise. I guess this is a classical Islamic terrorist operation where they attack troops from within someone's home, leaving the innocent civilians to die in the counterattack. But they didn't count on the air attack, so they couldn't escape out the back door and they died, too. I'd lay odds those "civilians" are either tied up or are, in fact, more terrorists who are being CALLED civilians by "local witnesses" who are probably, themselves, terrorists in disguise. That's the way it works in Iraq and anywhere else where Islamic terrorists operate. Notice the story is complete with the routine picture of "innocent civilians mourning." What a load! (Yahoo News)

GOP Not Fighting Back!

One thing that bothers me no end is that the Republicans are "just taking it." They're not "fighting back" against the lies and slurs the Democrats are telling about them, which tends to make people who don't pay attention to politics believe them all the more. How they ever expect to become the "dominant party" without fighting for it is beyond me. I'm not a big McCain fan, but even if he IS a socialist, like both Democrats, maybe we can hope he won't move us toward socialism as quickly as will either of the Democrats. (Just common sense)

I don't think so. How can it be "discredited" when it found so many actual communists and communist sympathizers in Hollywood and in Washington? News Busters says, "Tuesday's New York Times obituary on the life and work of American director Jules Dassin, 'filmaker on blacklist,' shows that anti-anti-Communism will never die. Times writer Richard Severo unfurls the usual flag in paragraph nine: 'By the time he wrote and directed Never on Sunday, a comedy about a good-hearted prostitute (Ms. Mercouri), the anti-Communist witch hunt in the United States had been discredited, and he had been accepted again.' This 'witch hunt' language is offered despite the first paragraph acknowleged Dassin's membership in the Communist Party in the 1930s, as filmmaker Edward Dmytryk testified to Congress. The 'witch hunt' found witches, but it was still 'discredited.' " The same people today promote socialism (collectivism), which is just another form of socialism from communism. Front Page Magazine says, "If there had been no Haditha, they'd have invented it. Come to think of it, they did!" "The collected tales of American atrocities, which leftists rely upon the way others search the scriptures for solace, is getting shorter. Like allegations of torture at Guantanamo, Koran desecration, and detainee murders in Afghanistan, the Haditha 'massacre' is increasingly being exposed as a fairy tale. Unfortunately, this canard was invented and popularized, not by terrorist propagandists to discredit an enemy army, but by American politicians to demonize U.S. soldiers and drain their own nation's will to fight an ongoing war – a war which we are winning and which the same politicians voted to authorize." "Gas Crisis?"

It's NOT a "gas crisis." It's a phony crisis CREATED by liberal "greenies" who will not allow us to drill for oil anywhere run by the United States. They have not allowed us to build a SINGLE gas refinery (except for "corn gas refineries that are being built by the hundreds . . . wonder why?) Maybe it's because they are in support of the "Ethanol fuel" thing, even though it costs more in energy to make it than we would save by using it, plus driving corn prices through the roof. Then there's the fact that the largest part of the extremely high gas prices goes to governments in taxes. Did you know that out of $3.00 a gallon, about $2.00 of that goes to the government at one level or another in taxes without them putting out any money to find and refine it? If they REALLY wanted to bring gas prices down, they'd lower those taxes to a reasonable level. But that will never happen. Don't even suggest it to politicians. they won't even hear you. Notice that the article below talks about taxes on gasoline as "part of the problem" back in 2004, when gas prices weren't nearly as high as they are today. (Lew Rockwell)

"The Religion of Peace?"

They constantly tell us Islam is "The Religion of Peace." Apparently they've forgotten (or want us to ignore) these passages from the Koran (however they spell it today):

Sura (8:55) - Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve

Sura (48:29) - Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard (ruthless) against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves

Sura (9:30) - And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah... Allah (Himself) fights against them. How perverse are they!

Sura (8:12) - I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them

Sura (9:123) - O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness

Sura (5:33) - The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement

These verses come from five different places in the Qur’an. There are dozens of others scattered throughout that advocate violence in open-ended fashion. There are hundreds more that speak of hatred and hell toward Christians, Jews, and other non-believers.(Is it any wonder that the Muslim world is split largely between those who tacitly support Islamic terror and those who do nothing about it?) They argue that the Old Testament of the Christian Bible is just as violent, but we do not recognize that as being today's "commandments," since Christ brought a different message before he was put to death by Islamics of the day. They do not make such a difference in their teaching from the Koran.
