Incompetence A Requirement

After the “Peter Principle” (“In any heirarchy, each member rises until he reaches his level of incompetence. Then he is too good to fire, and not good enough to promote” and becomes “deadwood”) has been operating long enough, this corollary then applies: ”Soon, incompetence is a REQUIREMENT to be a member.” Such is the case when Jamie Gorelich, the author of the “wall” between agencies where if one agency learns something important, it cannot reveal it to another agency, a policy that led to the deaths of 3,000 people at the World Trade Center in 2001, is even CONSIDERED to become Director of the FBI.
