Here We Go Again!
The “anti-gun fools” are getting yet another excuse to make even more futile laws that do nothing but DISARM honest people and make it easier for illegally armed criminals (who have no trouble getting illegal guns) to victimize them. Two (they think) shooters are “running amok” in the Navy Yard, one of the most tightly secured places (outside of the White House and the Pentagon) on Earth. We don’t know yet the age or sex of the shooters (one is male in his thirties), or whether or not they got their guns legally but either way, it’s more evidence liberal anti-gun laws don’t work. I notice in this picture the cops are doing what they do best—standing around wondering what to do. Remember, these are the people who are supposed to be PROTECTING us. Nothing has been said on the possibility of this being an Islamic terrorist shooting, but I suspect it is, but not directly from al-Qaida r other international terrorist organizations. I’ll be watching. (Washington Post)

He brought a shotgun (like biden told him to) which he legally had (and had been background checked for when he bought it). After shooting people he picked up a rifle and handgun on the base. He was the only shooter and was a contractor on the base. He was known by the military to be mentally ill, yet had high level clearance from the military. Go figure. The base was a "gun free zone", thanks to B. Clinton, which made it easy pickings for the shooter. So there you had it. He HAD been background checked, by the US government, had been given high level clearance and proper ID to enter the base and STILL background checking DID NOT WORK to prevent this shooting. Those "minor" facts did not stop obama from immediately trying to push his gun control (read confiscation) agenda. What do facts have to do with it?
Scumbags and nut jobs will always find guns for their evil deeds regardless of the "laws".
Anon: When dealing with liberals (Democrats) facts have nothing to do with it. He was background checked when he became a "contractor" and all they found was a traffic ticket. Is this incompetence, or what?
Yes. Incompetence to the extreme. I have no clue why obama and his ilk think background checks will do one damned thing to prevent these attacks. It did not help at all in this instance. He was thoroughly checked and they even KNEW he was mentally ill!! And now they are surprised?????
Anon: They "vetted" him and the word he was crazy was ignored. But background checks are just a sham to get the names and addresses of gun owners to make it easier to find them to confiscate them when they're ready.
You are exactly right. The UN and obama are also working on that together. Obama WILL sign the treaty! Then we are stuck and is specifically says there is not expiration.
