Wisconsin Is A USA Microcosm

This “recall election” that was won by the governor in Wisconsin is a microcosm of what is going on all over the United States. Alexis De Tocqeville (French political thinker and historian) said, "The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money." And that is exactly what is happening in Wisconsin AND America. In Wisconsin they tried to get rid of a Republican governor who kept his promise to bring the budget under control, but the people didn’t like how he did it. He did it by getting rid of many of the “giveaway programs” they had come to think of as their right. This is how we got such a “free-spender” as Obama, who is in the process of “giving away the store.” If Obama is re-elected, it will be an illustration of the truth of this statement. Even though the Wisconsin governor was NOT recalled, just the move to recall him is evidence of the truth of this statement. (United States History)
