What The Hell?

“While simply enforcing existing safety measures would have prevented the recent Pantybomber incident, the TSA has instead instituted ever-more draconian rules that punish the innocent. Where does it end?” (Jacob Sullum) What good does it do us to stop people from going to the bathroom or having anything in their laps during the last hour of a flight? But they have to do SOMETHING that makes it look like they’re actually “taking action,” don’t they? It would be better if they just ENFORCED existing regs, but that wouldn’t make it look like they were doing their jobs, would it? (Atlasphere/Jacob Sullum)
