An Expected Result

The Weekly Standard is shutting down, and that’s not an unexpected thing, since the magazine has never really been a “conservative magazine.” It pretended to be, but it tended to reject things conservatives hold dear. Conservatives have long been suspicious of the direction they have always taken, and they “shot their last bolt” when they became a prolific critic of President Trump. That put them firmly in the liberal camp, as far as many conservatives were concerned. Trump, as president, is the best thing that has happened to America, in my memory—and my memory goes back to the days of FDR, which is a long time back. He has rescued the economy that Obama said was “gone forever,” because he hadn’t a clue as to how to bring it back. The economy has gone, in the less than 2 years of the Trump administration, from doldrums, to booming proportions. Under Obama (and other liberals), we lost the admiration and respect of the rest of the world, that came from the free market principles we used to become a world leader in less than 300 years, breezing right past civilizations that have been around for thousands of years. Obama and other liberals represented socialism, a system that has predictably failed every time, and everywhere it has been tried—and conservatives didn’t like that, so they stopped buying that magazine, leading to it’s demise. "Come Shoot Us!"

That's what churches are telling thugs who want to kill a bunch of innocent people without much fear of being shot, themselves, by a parishioner. That's how it is in Indiana, now. But they're working to change that, and take down the "welcome sign" for mass shooters. Indiana has always had better gun laws than other states, and both my brothers and I have, at times, gone around armed. And neither of us ever shot anybody. I now live in Colorado, where the gun laws are much tighter, and I feel very "nervous" walking around. I'm now 80, and as such, I am considered an "easy target" by thugs as they watch me walk down the street. Another brother in Indiana (a non-active Marine), has a gun and carries it. He recently ran off two muggers just by showing them he is not to be trifled with. And he did not fire a shot. The thing is, EVERY "gun law" does nothing but make it easier for illegally-armed thugs to victimize us, by disarming us. (America's First Freedom)

$15 and Done

Now that the minimum wage in liberal-run New York City is $15.00 an hour, minimum wage workers are losing their jobs in droves, as those offering minimum wage jobs cut hours and staff because they can’t afford to pay an inflated wage to people who, through lack of training and experience, are not worth $15.00 an hour. It is imbecilic to force people to pay TWICE what a worker is worth. It is economically infeasible ans immoral. But that has never stopped liberals from insisting on it before, and will probably not, again. Most of the things liberals try to force upon us are imbecilic and unfeasible. Like trying to convince us there are more than 2 sexes. Or that beginning workers requiring extensive training are worth as much as workers who are well-trained, and experienced. Anywhere this is done will experience similar downturns in employment. But try and convince myopic liberals. They’re smarter than anybody else. They think. But reality tells us there are some jobs that are just not WORTH $15.00 an hour. I worked many years before I got paid that much in my profession, and they should have to, also. You can’t legislate pay rates. That is dictated by what a worker is WORTH. This is typical liberal meddling, and will cost New Yorkers a lot of jobs, and money. (Legal Insurrection)

It's Not Their Fault!

Liberals are making a big thing of the 7-year-old who died, while in the Border Control’s custody, ASSUMING it was their fault. But it was NOT their fault. That child was as good as dead when she crossed the order and was taken into custody. It was her own FATHER who kept her in a starvation condition while he dragged her to the border to support his attempt to “bulldoze” his way into this country. That little girl died of dehydration and shock almost as soon as she was placed in custody. She could NOT have died as a result of neglect of border control authorities, in that amount of time. She had to have been deprived, all the way from her home country, to the border. And her own father (if he IS her father), who should have been her protector, had to be responsible for letting it happen. Maybe the “coyote” was partially responsible, but the father should have “made a stink” about it, until she was given food and water. Any good father, worth his salt, would have fought to the death for his daughter. This one obviously did NOT, and for that, he should be condemned. Not the Border Control people. (American Thinker)

Today We're Insane

Shannon Watts' husband says "concealed carriers have a mental condition." They're really getting desperate, folks! Yesterday, we were racists/white supremacists, and anything else nasty. They have nothing else, so they say we're racist and insane! If you ask me, the insanity and racism is on their side. They have to know everything they do is unconstitutional, but they don't care. They want to disarm all America, at whatever cost. Calling us racist, or insane is all part of their not being able to push through MOST of their silly little laws that don't work, anyway. Shannon thinks they are winning because they "scored" a few successes. But if you don't "cherry pick," and look at ALL their actions, MOST of them fail. Like their "gatherings" of anti-gun fools that are supposed to convince the rest of us we have no chance, at which few, in any people show up. Then there are all the bills they sponsor that never become law. And the fact that NONE of their laws and "regulations" do ANYTHING to stop gun violence and, instead, INCREASE it, by disarming honest, law-abiding Americans so they're "easy targets" for those who obey NO laws. They also say we're paranoid. But you're not paranoid if there are ILLEGALLY armed thugs out there who want to rob and/or kill you--and there are. Liberal Twisting of Facts

You probably heard of that “confrontation” between “MAGA” wearing hats teens and an elderly “Indian” man. Emphasized was the teens supposedly disrespecting this Indian man (Sorry PC Police, I don’t use the term “native American.”). But the release of other videos of the incident showed that the students were “doing their thing” and were approached by that Indian, saying, “White people go back to Europe where you belong!” Is that racist, or what? The boys did not approach the Indian, he approached, and degraded them with his words and actions. And they did nothing except what normal, everyday children do. They began mocking this racist Indian. The fact that they were wearing “MAGA” hats was irrelevant. It was the Indian harassing THEM. But the liberal media jumped all over this with their LYING rhetoric aimed at vilifying those kids when it was that old Indian who was the instigator, and deserved the ridicule he got. The actuality of the situation was just the OPPOSITE of what they portrayed. Typical. It appears this may have even been a “setup” by that Indian man, since he brought along his own cameraman when he approached those kids, and had done similar things in the past. (Legal Insurrection)

Trump Killed Obamacare

Maybe he realized it, maybe he didn’t. But a federal judge knew, and found Obamacare to be unconstitutional. How did he do it? He removed the MANDATE to buy it, or pay a fine. Which removes it entirely from being a TAX. And since being a tax was Justice Roberts’ “excuse” for approving it, that makes it unconstitutional Whether or not that will cause Trump to actually KNOW it has become unconstitutional, or not, nobody knows. But know that it gives HIM an “excuse” to eliminate Obamacare, altogether. But the way things work in DC, I wonder if ANYTHING can get done. But I have faith in President Trump, because he rends to get things done. Obama claimed that the lousy economy was “the new normal.” That those millions of jobs that had gone overseas would never come back, But in less than 2 years of Trump’s administration, the economy, along with those millions of jobs, HAVE come back. When Obama told us that he was essentially admitting defeat, as far as the economy was concerned, he was admitting what intelligent people knew, that he was incompetent when it came to the economy (as well as just about everything else). An Absolute Contradiction

A Kentucky legislator is trying HARD to enact gun control laws after a major school shooting, and he's doing it while surrounded by ARMED marshals. Doesn't that contradict what he's trying to do? The shooting itself would have been less deadly but for several things. One of them is that the cops took 45 minutes to appear on the scene. During that time the shooter had all the time he needed to leisurely shoot people down. Another factor is that the shooter, being only 15, could not buy a gun legally, anyway, So what law would have stopped him from getting it ILLEGALLY? A UNIFORMED sheriff's "resource officer" was there, but was completely ineffective in stopping the shooting. No one knows where he was, or what he was doing during the shooting. The law the legislator was promoting is smarter than most "gun control laws," in that it was to allow a few "designated" people on the school staff to carry weapons IF they were already "concealed carriers," so they would not be UNIFORMED officers, easy to locate and "neutralize" before the shooting begins. What's wrong with his law is that it would require the guns not be carried on their person, but kept in a "lock box" until used. And the gun could be used ONLY for the protection of a third person, and not him/herself. I guess they must just DIE if PERSONALLY threatened, even with a gun available. (Gun Watch)

Abortion Is Evil!

If you have any intelligence at all, you can’t deny that murdering defenseless infants mostly (but not completely) in the womb is an evil thing, and those that practice it are evil, as well. Abortion is MURDER. It’s as simple as that, but many people deny it, and try to vilify those who condemn people who practice it. If ever we needed a “biblical flood” to get rid of those evil people, we need it now. Abortion mills are places where evil lives, and goodness dies. Yet many otherwise intelligent politicians maintain that killing their offspring is a constitutional right. Murder for your convenience is NOT any kind of a right. And that’s what abortion on demand is: murder for the convenience of the parents who could not bother with “protection” and had unprotected sex, who now want to MURDER the result, rather than commit themselves to raising it. If the paramount thing is a “woman’s right to choose what happens to her own body,” as abortionists claim, then prostitution should be immediately legalized, as it is DEFINITELY “a woman’s right to choose what happens to her own body.” But abortion isn’t about what happens to a woman’s body. It is about what happens to the body of an innocent infant who never even gets a chance at life because of the evil in the hearts of its parents. Look into the eyes of that beautiful child and if you can then murder it, YOU are evil. (The American Spectator)

Ignoring the Good Things

The left is always on President Trump’s case. Everything he does, they criticize. Whenever he does something good, they ignore it because everything good he does hurts their cause, which is to gain, or regain power so they can better fleece the nation. Trump was responsible for the amazing turnaround in the economy. A turnaround that Obama told us we could never expect. The unemployment numbers are the lowest in many years, just since he became president. The millions of jobs lost under Obama that he told us would never come back, have come back. So have the manufacturing jobs Obama told us would never come back. Under Obama the gross national product never even approached 3%. Under Trump, it is now over 4%. Illegal immigration is still a problem, but never like it was previously, even without the wall. Yet the Dumocrats continue to tell us he is “driving us into the ground.” I’d hate to know what they consider doing good. The liberal media won’t say his name without gagging. If he does something good, they not only don’t cover it, they find some way to criticize it. They twist the facts unmercifully to make him look bad. They hate him, more than any other politician has been hated, ever. Why? Because he was elected to “drain the swamp” in DC, and he’s actually DOING it. And that frightens them because they know they ARE “the swamp.” They’ve already spent $20 million dollars in their fruitless witch hunt, trying to prove he “colluded” with the Russians to get elected. In almost 2 years of searching under every rock, they couldn’t find a shred of real evidence of that, so now they’re trying everything else they can think of, and nothing works. they’ve “shot every wad” they have, and haven’t made a dent in him. And they ever will, because he’s more intelligent than any of them. (Just common sense)

Shannon Watts Is Deluded

She recently put out a statement, extolling all the gains her "MOMS Against Guns" organization (or something like that) has "scored" in over coming the Second Amendment that GUARANTEES our right to be armed for self defense. She talked about the number of states that have passed gun control measures, and how much they have reduced gun violence. Of course, she ignores the fact that MOST of the gun control initiatives have FAILED, because nobody but the "intelligence impaired" want them. She says, "If Hillary had been elected, gun control would benefit," and she's right. Thank God for Donald Trump! She also ignores the fact that every gun control law they have passed have done NOTHING to "stem gun violence." That's a fact that can't be ignored, but she ignores it. She says gun violence has been INCREASING lately, forgetting that MOST of the "gun violence" was committed by people who ignore her laws. Making those laws is FUTILE because the law-abiding aren't the ones who commit the crimes. Talk about "cherry picking facts!" She not only does it for others, she does it for herself. Next It'll Be Air

California’s new governor, recognizing that former liberal administrations have spent all the money, now wants to tax drinking water. And with all the liberal fools living in California, he may well get what he wishes. If he does, how long will it be before other states which are run by other “tax and spend” liberals, do likewise? Colorado, where I live, for instance, which has just inaugurated yet another liberal, “tax and spend” governor, and a long list of liberal lawmakers, will likely follow suit, taxing items we need for survival, that the government has no hand in providing. After that becomes “the norm,” how long will it be before they start taxing the air we breathe, threatening to cut off our supply if we don’t “pay up?” Liberals LIVE to tax us unmercifully to support heir “giveaway programs.” They give away so much of our resources there isn’t any left for those who really need them, and when they predictably run out of money, they demand more, saying we “need to pay our fair share” of taxes. Never mind we already pay too many taxes. To them, it’s not enough. It’s NEVER enough, and never will be. There will always be another “program” that needs funding, and the old ones never go away. The Left Is Bankrupt

They have no issues they can use to gain traction for their stupid ideas, so they are now fully committed to violence as a way of intimidating their enemies. They think terrorizing Tucker Carlson’s wife will gain them something. It will not. All it will do is gain that ANTIFA crowd a designation as a “Domestic Terrorist Organization.” And that’s what they are. They haven’t killed anyone yet (that we know of), but they’ve made plenty of waves with their masked attacks on conservatives, and anybody else who doesn’t “toe” the liberal line. “Mad Max(ine)” Waters began the attacks on conservatives with her “orders to the troops” to “harass and terrorize Trump people everywhere you can find them.” For that she should be stripped of her position and run out of town. On a rail or otherwise. That probably won’t happen, but I fully recommend that she face charges for fomenting violence. They SAY that Trump crates violence with his rhetoric, but they can’t point to a real instance of violence against liberals—except for that phony attempt at convincing the world that a conservative Trump supporter tried (unsuccessfully, of course) to bomb some liberals. Gun Violence: "Terrorism?"

That's what liberals are saying now. "Gun violence is a form of terrorism." Not a chance! Terrorism is killing innocent people for one reason: to promote an idea. Gun violence in the USA doesn't fall under that umbrella. Criminal gun violence is usually to take away from people, that which they've EARNED. Something the government does so well. Trying to equate gun violence with terrorism is typical Dumocrat scam to make more of it than it is, and frighten people into supporting their silly gun laws. Gun violence, most of which is committed by people who IGNORE their highly touted "gun laws," would not be stopped by their useless gun laws, and never has been. Only the law-abiding would obey them, and they are not the problem, as a rule. What kind of logic leads to such an assumption, I don't know. But liberals (Dumocrats) have no logic. They even claim that there IS no such thing as logic OR reason, so they don't have to use it. Real logic tells us that the way to self defense is NOT to disarm yourself. Criminals aren't worried about the law-abiding "going after" them, so we don't have to convince them that we are not a threat to them, which is the government's excuse when they wish to disarm this nation. And ALL their laws DEPEND on LAWBREAKERS to somehow, OBEY their laws when they obey no others. (ANJRPC)

Democrats Are Really Stupid

I’m right now watching a “demonstration” by top Dumocrats in DC “demonstrating” to get Trump to “end the government shutdown” when the whole thing was CREATED by their stubborn REFUSAL to allow him to have ANY funding for the wall he was elected to erect. And the whole thing is hilarious as we watch their “dog and pony show” trying to convince the American people that Trump is to blame. As Trump has said, the impasse could be ended in a few minutes if they would back off their “Trump hatred” where they oppose ANYTHING President Trump wants to do. Their “tantrum” continues while they vacation in exotic spots and Trump remains in ice cold DC, just waiting for them to “wise up” and “get with the program.” Their “hate Trump stance is not going to gain them anything. Trump knows it, but they do not. They can oppose everything they can, while Trump piles up the victories that he can cite in the next election. The liberal media, which is in “lock-step” with the Dumocrats won’t report on any of them, but they just can’t seem to stop him from speaking out and “going around” them to get his message out to the world. Muslims Winning Elections

Like the Germans when they elected Hitler, we’re creating our own defeat by treating Muslims as if there was no reason to deny them the power to ruin our lives by letting them make our laws. They’ll call me racist for saying these things, but that’s BS. Muslim is not a race, and their “religion” is a farce. That’s not to say there aren’t good people following their “religion.” But they USE their “religion” to forestall ALL criticism of their actions, many of which, even for “peaceful Muslims,” are, as Obama would say, “not what we are.” They believe in “honor killings,” and rape is a staple in their societies. That’s why their men insist their women go about in what can be described at a “tent,” so their men won’t rape them, while many of them rape other women, saying, “their way of dressing drives them to rape” (Somebody needs to teach them they have no right to rape women). We need to treat them differently from real Americans, because they are—the very way they think is an anathema to most Americans. They’ll probably want to kill me for writing this. That’s how they think. If people disagree with you, just kill them. Their very religion tells them to force their religion on others, whether they want it, or not, and kill them if they refuse to “convert.” If we allow them political office, it’s only a matter of time before they con their way into forcing “Sharia Law” upon us. When that happens, we’re lost. They can’t beat us militarily, but now they’re working to beat us politically— from the inside--and way too many people are helping, by electing them to office. Thank God for NRA!

Hillary and her henchmen are now claiming that, "If not for the NRA, Hillary would now be president. "Let’s face the facts. Without the NRA Hillary would be President and Schumer would be the leading the Senate. The Supreme Court would be backed with young gun grabbing justices. The record number of judges DJ Trump has had appointed would be all to the left of center (WAY to the left). Imagine the 9th Circuit Court being the norm for the country as a whole." Not only that, that mad woman, Nancy Peelosi would again be the Majority Leader in the House (regrettably, she is, again), and, between her and Chuckie, they would be able to forever block ALL legislation Trump suggests. Soon we would be a socialist country, with the government STEALING a large part of the fruits of the production of new wealth produced by those willing and able to PRODUCE new wealth. And forget about your constitutional right to be armed for self defense. Dumocrats have tried everything in their power during the last 8 years to disarm America, and with Hillary in the White House, they would no doubt be able to "git 'er done." Of course, there's no proof that the NRA had ANYTHING to do with her loss, except to contribute money to conservative candidates and run a few ads, which they have the right to do. Just as there's no proof for her other imaginary plot, the "Russian connection." But that has never stopped the Dumocrats from promoting a lie before. (AmmoLand)

"Fact-Checkers" Don't Lie?

It’s a big thing to Dumocrats: the “fact-checkers.” They fact-checked President Trump’s recent speech and found him to be lying in several places. The only problem is, what they called “lies” were simple disagreements on policy and opinion. The only problem with “fact-checkers” is that some of them LIE. The very label “fact-checker” seems to impute integrity into what they do. It does NOT. Most fact-checkers ARE honest. But some are NOT. I’m very suspicious when the fact-checkers are Dumocrat, because the Dumocrats LIE. And fact-checkers are simply a tool they use to impute lying on the part of their enemies. What we need are fact-checkers on the fat-checkers, to see if they’re lying. Fact-checkers are a good thing, if THEY are honest. But for many of them, their “fact-checking” needs to be “fact-checked.” We’re supposed to accept their fact-checking at face value, but there is NOTHING we can take for granted in the “swamp” of DC. So their work, on both sides, needs to be inspected carefully before they are believed. (DC Clothesline)

"Free Stuff for All!"

That’s the message that comes from an outfit calling itself “Democratic Socialists of America.” They’re now calling for free college tuition for everybody who is too lazy to pay for it themselves. They didn’t put it that way, but that’s the way it is. It amuses me that they think “Democratic” and “socialism” actually go together. They do NOT. Socialism cannot exist in a democratic society. Socialism REQUIRES a “top-down” government, where unnamed bureaucrats make all the decisions, and run the lives of everybody. The very system is based on the THEFT of the fruits of production from those capable and willing to produce new wealth, for the benefit of those who just want to “ride the wagon” with others doing all the work of making it move. It NEEDS producers of new wealth, so there will BE something for the government to STEAL for the benefit of the “drones” of society. The very reason so many people buy the BS of socialism (under its many names) is because so many of them have been taught, from birth, that “the world owes them a living,” and they need to “share” what they have with others. They say free tuition will “stimulate the economy.” It will NOT. It will STAGNATE the economy, as more and more people just wait for the government to do what they should be doing for themselves, while leaving the real work to others. (Legal Insurrection)

Lies, Lies, and Damned Lies!

You can lie to Americans and some of them will believe you, if you neglect to include raw statistics. For instance, the anti-gun fools say the reason we have the highest "gun death" rate in the world is our "lax gun laws." One little problem: the RAW stats don't back that up. "Americans own more guns per capita than any other nationality, about 101 per 100 inhabitants, remarkable since barely more than a third of us own guns." At the same time, "The United States has far from the highest rate of murder by gun. We kill 3.2 people per 100,000 inhabitants each year. Brazilians kill about 18.1 per 100,000, Paraguayans about 7.35." That CLEARLY puts us in THIRD PLACE to two countries that have stiffer gun laws than we do. This writer couldn't resist taking a shot at the NRA when he wrote, "I wish the NRA would devote as much attention to gun safety as it does to raising money to rent politicians who would arm everyone to the teeth." "Renting" politicians? absurd. They rightly push against the current gun laws, which don't work, anyway. All their laws do is INCREASE gun deaths by keeping the law-abiding UNARMED, while criminals always have guns. And the NRA does spend a lot of money on teaching gun safety, but the anti-gun fools object to that. They hate ANYTHING that teaches people about guns. They would rather guns remain invisible, with NOBODY knowing anything about them. And yes, they DO promote allowing law-abiding people to have guns (which is guaranteed by the Constitution) for self defense. What's wrong with that is that their laws only apply to the law-abiding, and not to the owners of ILLEGALLY-obtained guns, which proliferate, without any controls. (Sun-Journal)

A 51 Foot Ladder

My son came up with an excellent analogy the other day when we were discussing (arguing) about the “battle over the wall” now raging in DC. He said that, “If Trump builds a 50 foot wall, that’ll just spark sales of 51-foot ladders.” He was right about that, except wrong to blame President Trump exclusively for the “standoff” that has kept the government (partly) shut down. Trump has told the world what he insisted upon many times, and the Dumocrats are adamantly opposed to it. It was their decision to BE opposed to it because Trump asked for it. Before, they all agreed that a wall was necessary. And they were right. Yes, there are ways over ANY wall. But they do make it harder for illegal aliens to get into this country unnoticed. And coupled with other means, they can be very effective. But if they’re not there, they cannot. He blames both sides. And to some degree, he’s right. There might be a better way, but I can’t see one—and neither apparently, does President Trump. That’s why he is so insistent. The Dumocrats are wrong because all they want do is stop EVERYTHING Trump wants to do. That’s their entire motivation, and they don’t care if they ruin the lives of many government employees. Trump wants to improve our defenses against being “invaded” by illegal aliens, and a wall is just PART of that, but an important part. The Dumocrats’ ONLY motivation is obstruction, and they need to be beaten, and beaten badly. (Just common sense)

No Blue Wave

No “Red Wave,” either. Republicans lost the House, but kept control in the Senate. So we can at least STOP the worst of the Dumocrat outrages. Of course, that won’t stop the incessant duplicitous “investigations” that will cost taxpayers $millions as Dumocrats increase their efforts to unseat the legally-elected president. Colorado, where I live, went entirely blue, electing a gay Dumocrat governor and a majority of Dumocrats to other offices. For the first time in a long time, the criminals completely control the government in Colorado, and we will suffer accordingly. The big question now is, are the Dumocrats in the House dumb enough to re-elect Nancy Peelosi as the Speaker? (Yes, they were) I’m so tired of listening to that old bag yap, I do the same thing when she comes on the TV as I still do when Obama comes on. I turn the sound off. Sometimes I just turn the TV off. I guess there were more gullible people voting than I thought. I guess they just want to have to pay more taxes and give more of their money to the “drones” of society. Hopefully, sanity will return to the electorate after the next two years, and we will not have gone socialist in that amount of time. (Just common sense)

More Anti-Gun Lies

CNN's Jim Acosta, a KNOWN liar, told the most UNBELIEVABLE lie, ever. On Dec. 14, 2017. he claimed that there have been 1,552 "mass shootings since the Sandy Hill school shooting. He uses the FBI definition of a "mass shooting" that a shooting with four or more deaths is a "mass shooting." A pretty low level. But, in addition, he includes shootings in which there were no deaths. Additionally, I don't think even FOUR deaths constitutes a "mass shooting." When I think of a mass shooting, I see more than four deaths involved. He relies on figures from the "Gun Violence Archive," a KNOWN anti-gun fool "tracking" site. An outfit whose numbers have always been questionable. Additionally, Acosta is a well-known twister of facts to suit his narratives. He commonly uses these "twisted facts" in encounters with Sara Sanders, Trump's current press secretary, which she usually easily shoots down. (Breitbart)

That’s what the liberals are going to be shouting after they hear the news that cars have been driven into people in TWO places: Germany, and Japan. In Tokyo, a minivan slammed into New Year’s revelers, injuring eight people, while the same thing occurred in Berlin. In Tokyo, the driver wasn’t finished. He jumped out of the van and punched a ninth victim. In Germany, he did it twice (then again). He drove int a crowd in one place, but his intended victims jumped out of the way and were not hit. Not satisfied, he drove to another location and did it again, this time injuring four. He wasn’t a very good terrorist, and neither was the one in Japan. Neither killed anyone (yet). The attack in Germany seems to be aimed at foreigners, since all those hit were tourists from Syria and Albania. The Germany driver then tried it yet again, missing people entirely, before the cops “got him.” He was heard to make anti-foreigner comments when arrested. If the anti-gun fools run true to form, they will blame the car, rather than the driver, and demand laws be made to ban cars because some people misused some. Anti-gun fools are stupid that way, and they’re well known for blaming the TOOL for violence, rather than the perpetrator. Which, of course, accomplishes NOTHING, except to make the law-abiding vulnerable to people who want to kill them. (Huffington Post)

Proving His Point

Conservative Professor Samuel Abrams wrote an op-ed about the lack of intellectual diversity, and students went bananas, wanting him to be “run off the campus on a rail.” Which does nothing except prove the point he was trying to make. The first thing the students (we think) did was to deface his office door. I say “we think” because, in today’s atmosphere, it might have been a member of the school “administration.” The college’s president, Christie Judd, after releasing a very tepid response to the vandalism, accused professor Abrams of “attacking members of his community.” Never mind his target was college administrators, and was “right on.” Thus proving his point, perfectly. She said he “created a hostile work environment.” (Where have I heard those words—those exact words—before?) He responded by saying, If my op-ed constitutes ‘hate speech,’ that’s not a world I want to be part of.” Abrams conducted a study that included 900 “administrators” that found that liberals outnumbered conservatives 12 to 1. The college president was contacted, asking if they would support Abrams’ position, and they have yet (at his writing) to answer. Abrams has tenure, so they can’t fire him. But they can make the pressure to quit so intense that he will go job-hunting, and I predict they will try. Liberals just can’t have anybody saying the truth. (Legal Insurrection)
